Good food disorganized service 6/5/2005

I have to give this place credit where credit is due... the food is good. I dont think it is fabulous, but its GOOD! The service there was terribly unorganized and I was surprised to see an actual microwave in use behind the counter (move it into the kitchen). I got the impression that this cafe' is an after thought for the owners. Good food, obviously low cost to run, kind of a dive... but good food, my recommendation- call in an order and pick it up to go! (and go before 11:30am if you want lunch!) Donelson's best lunch spot 5/31/2005

Called Ellendale's little sister, Phat Bites is fast becoming the best place for lunch in Donelson. With a wide variety of some of the best salad offerings (try the barley and cranberries, the strawberry fields, or the changing varieties of hummus) in Nashville plus a good assortment of sandwiches (including Nashville's best Mufaletta and the big jerk, made with carmelized onions and pork tenderloin.) make this ever more popular place the best a,ternative to fast food in the Donelson area. They have expanded the seating area and the parking because the demand is moving up. Well worth visiting! more

Great food, great deal 10/13/2003

This is a unique little cafe in an unexpected place. The chinese chicken salad was incredible as were the mozzarella tomato salad and the wild rice salad. Chinese chicken to die for! 1/14/2003

Cute little coffee shop & deli in Donelson. Several different sandwiches and salads to choose from. I actually get cravings for their Chinese Chicken salad on a toasted over-sized croissant. In fact, all of their dishes are over-sized. Everything that I have tried is fresh, including their homemade desserts. Its a small place so parking is tight. You can sit at tables with chairs or get comfortable on one of their couches. If youre tired of the same ole places for lunch, check this place out.
