Penn State Health Medical Group-Mountville

The doctors are absolutely wonderful at Mountville Family Practice; however, the office staff is the worst! I have witnessed several incidents involving staff speaking unprofessionally to other patients and myself. On one Saturday morning, there was a child sleeping under a desk behind the check in and out counter. The office staff is the rudest and most unhelpful. After years if putting with this, I have finally moved on to a more professional office. I highly recommend anyone searching for a physician in the area to go to Susquehanna Family Health Center in Marietta. more

I have been going to Mountville Family Practice for years and have seen most of the doctors and all have been great. I personally like seeing Stacey Spence, she is always so kind and thorough. more

I am so disappointed with Mountville Family Practice. I love my doctor, Dr. Butler. She is thorough and understanding and I feel like I truly found a doctor who cares. I am very disappointed at her office staff. Twice in a matter of weeks they neglected to provide her with paperwork which prevented me from getting a biopsy in a timely fashion. I wouldn?t normally be this enraged, and I certainly would never write a negative review if a possibility of cancer wasn't the issue. If you are a person with general medical issues I would recommend the practice, and I would absolutely recommend Dr. Butler, however, if you require a practice that is honest, thorough, and truly cares about their patients or have medical needs that are beyond a cold or flu, I would urge you to seek care elsewhere. The only words I can use to describe everyone else at that practice aside from Dr. Butler, is extremely awful and I am saddened that I will no longer be able to see my doctor as I wouldn?t subject my cat to that environment. Plus, they lie. They lied to my face stating they never received the paperwork and I saw them pull the document out of a generic folder, not my file. They also lied to the social worker from the hospital who was assisting me in obtaining a biopsy who called and confirmed the receipt of the fax. Hmmm more

I have been going to this Mountville Family Practice my whole life, and I have seen every almost every doctor there. I haven't had any appointments with this particular doctor but I think it should be said that each physician at the practice has their own rules and standards, and all of the doctors that work there also divide their time between the hospitals in Lancaster and several practices. I have never had any problems there and I think it's unfair to dismiss the WHOLE practice based on the experience with just one doctor. Also, I've also forgotten an appointment and the worst infraction I received was a billing of $25. If they asked you not to return or refuse to make an appointment for you then it's solely because of you as a patient, not the fault of the practice itself. more
