I Dont trust anyone with my hair, but Nicole from Pearl Salon did a fabulous job! She took my hair from long and straight to a short asymetrical cut... It looked really good...not choppy like some of the aline cuts I have seen around town!!! more

This was my 1st time going to the Pearl Salon . I had my haircut by Nikki , best haircut that I have had in a long time . I had a pretty extreme change - went from long hair (past shoulders) to very short hair . I love my hair ! Nikki was wonderful , very nice and fun person to talk to . I've been straightening my hair for years and have had both ""name-brand"" and no-name Japanese straighteners used. I've also had them done in crazy posh expensive salons and small shops in the various places I've lived and have come to the conclusion that the most important part is the stylist! I had friends back home telling me about the Brazilian Keratin Treatment and was interested in trying a new straightener. After searching the web, I found Eleni at Pearl and booked a consultation. Unfortunately, I don't have the ideal hair type for the Brazilian and wasn't going to get to try it. I was however, really comfortable with Eleni and booked a traditional Japanese style straightener. She was meticulous without being painfully slow AND my hair is in the best condition it has been in for a very long time. I have no idea what brand she used; I only know that this girl knows how to straighten hair!!! Pros: Everyone is really friendly and they called back quickly. Cons: no receptionist more

I went into Pearl Salon and was welcomed with open arms. Well, not arms per say, but at least welcomed with wide smiles and on time scheduling. I was walked right into the asthetican area and Lois did a wonderful job with my waxing. She was very professional and very friendly. I was so pleased by the staff and job done on my hair last week at Pearl Salon. My hair looks wonderful and I thought that Nikki was a pleasure to talk with about all my daily troubles. The rest of the salon with their friendly staff, I believe Lois who is their asthetican, was very inviting and I scheduled an appointment to have my brows done next week. She was so nice. Being a guy you sometimes wonder about how you're going to be received by seemingly female-friendly salons. I have a hard time finding just the right place to have work done for skin and hair. I do most of my facial stuff myself but when it comes to the ""privates"" you have to contact a professional. more

I am a transplant from the Bay area and have lived here for 2 years. I have searched and searched for that one hair stylist to trust and style my hair. After searching the web and reading Pearl's great reviews; I decided to trust Meslissa to cut and style my hair. Right from the start , I felt very comfortable with her. She definately listened to what I wanted and gave me a great cut,and new style....I love it! I had compliments right away. I recommend her and Pearl to all my friends and family. I went to Pearl after reading the reviews. I relocated from San Diego in 2001 and have been searching for a new stylist since then. Needless to say, I'm a bit picky. I was very happy with the salon and my stylist, Melissa. I went in not knowing what I wanted. She was understanding and worked with me. For someone who is not into change (the last hair cut I received was in April or 2007) she assisted me through the process and even changed my color for the better. This was my first time to Pearl and I got highlights and a haircut done by Nikki. She did an awesome job. She really knows her stuff! I was very impressed by how much she knew and that she was able to see exactly what I wanted when other hairstylists could not in my past experience. I wanted a very specific color and it came out to be perfect! She styled and cut my hair very nicely as well. I have to say that going to Pearl and having Nikki do my hair was one of the best experiences I've ever had at a salon. more

I have the most unrully curls you can imagine and I have tried all of my friend's stylists without success. I finally took matters into my own hands and searched the web. Everyone else reviewing Pearl loved their hair and I took a chance. I LOVE my HAIR. I booked an appointment with Eleni and after a long conversation about what I wanted she gave my the real scoop without mincing words. I have always wanted long flowing curls like you see in magazines and she was the first stylist to tell me that without the right tools and more time than I am willing to spend every day, it just wasn't going to happen. Instead she helped me choose a cut and color that works with MY curl and skin tone and then she actually showed me how to style my hair in just a few minutes. I LOVE MY HAIR! did I already say that? Melissa has now moved to Unique Impressions in Roseville. Previously, I went to see Melissa at Pearl and I put my hair in her hands, literally! It was so worth it. I told her that I needed a change, something low maintenance, professional, but still young looking. She was great and my hair looks fantastic! I've been getting compliments constantly since I walked out of the salon! But now I'm more than willing to head out to Roseville because she's still the best stylist I've been to. She's the only person I've been to who can style my hair exactly how I want. more

I was a little nervous going into a Salon that I have never been into before, however, I was greeted with kindness and respect and as if I been a costumer for years. I was then greeted by a young beautiful lady named Lindsey, she then took my to the back for one of the best facial I have ever had. She was polite and took me step by step (not that it was a scary thing but just the right informtaion I wanted to know). My experience with her was so comfortable that I booked an appointment for an eye brow and bikini wax. My brows never looked better, and the bikini wax was great and not as scary as I thought. She took her time and made sure I was as comfotable as possible. If you are a person looking for a great salon experience I would higly recommend this Salon--Pearl!!! I have short hair, I have always had short hair and until I moved to Sacramento two years ago never even thought about growing it out , but after a year and a half of the worst haircuts of my life, I began to contemplate the Sacramento ""pony tail"". Thankfully, I saw the cutest gal at a paint store with a great short cut. I just knew she was going to tell me she drove to San Francisco or somewhere equally as far to get her hair cut, instead she sent me to Eleni, right here in Sacramento. I figured I had nothing to lose after at least 10 bad cuts in a row. To my amazement and delight she gave me one of the most precise haircuts ever! I now get stopped and complimented on my hair by random strangers again. Thank you Eleni for giving me my hair back! As a side note, the salon is beautiful and all of the stylists are friendly, warm and welcoming. Pros: These girls know their stuff more

Like all people say finding a new Hair stylist can be a nightmare! My experience at Pearl Salon was nothing of the sort. I walked into the Salon and was pleasently suprised by the bright and warm atmosphere. Danielle Welsh a hair stylist at the salon has been doing my hair for 2 and a half years her work is not only amazing but consistent. I have never once left anything short of 100% satisfied. Even when i have waited entirely to long to see her people still comment on how great my hair looks. I would highly reccomend Danielle to anyone who wanted to a fresh new look or just a really great haircut. I have several family members that have come to see her and I will continue to reccomend her services. more

I have been going to Pearl since it opened. I like its modern, very clean atmosphere. Everyone is always friendly and professional. The rinsing chairs are very sleek and comfortable. I am very vertically challenged, but the chairs are motion chairs, so they automatically adjust to accomodate. No stool needed. The entire experience is very relaxing. You are always offered a drink, whether it be water (in nice glasses with lemon), to coffee, tea, or red or white wine. Nice touch! My hairdresser, Nikki Nicholas is an excellent colorist and stylist. She is very professional and always has a clean and neat station. Both my husband and I have been a client of hers for over 10 years. My husband does not commute however, he is willing to go halfway across town to have his hair cut by Nikki. Peal is a great place to unwind and be pampered while you have your hair done. more

My hair stylist DANIELLE WELSH has moved to PEARL about 2 months ago.. She is Fabulous.. But first the salon.. It is very relaxing and everyone there make you feel comfortable.. They offer cold beverages, hot tea, and red or white wine.. which is nice.. At first you might be thrown off by how clean and tighty the place is but it is nice to know that you don?t have to worry about picking anything up there.. Whether you are going in for hair, message, maybe a facial, or even your toes.. Everything is well taken care of.. Now for DANIELLE WELSH.. I love her.. She always takes a few minutes to talk in the beginning of my appt. to make sure I am happy with everything or to see if its time for change.. She is always up for a lil change every few visits.. And she is really good about going with the seasons.. She actually specializes in CURLY hair.. She can do all types of hair.. She likes to say ""hair is hair no MATTER what color it is.. it can be white red black purple or pink.. it doesn?t matter.."" Also she is very personable and friendly.. She makes you feel very comfortable.. She also gives the best head messages at the shampoo bowl.. I would recommend her to anyone and everyone.. And last but not least she always lets u know if you are not happy about something u could let her know and she would do anything in her power to fix whatever the problem was..(its more of a compliment she says) But when it comes down to it I leave happy and beautiful every time and I always get many many COMPLEMENTS which mean a lot to me.. more
