This school is HORRIBLE!!! It sounds good in theory because of the reputation of Paul Mitchell as a brand. Schenectady is home to one of THE WORST Paul Mitchell schools EVER!! They are nice initially and you WILL meet some great people but the 'teachers' are horrible and should go back to school themselves. The woman running it is named Tracey and she is a politicking snob who will stick up for her people and the horrible service to no end. It is understood it is a school but even the Level2's are not up to par. I left Fantastic Sam's to check this place out and have been very understanding since they are students--BUT NO MORE!!! They screwed up my hair AGAIN!!! This time it was not a cut but the color!!! They cannot wash hair well-you WILL leave with product in your hair. The other students will come over and tell you how awesome it looks--part of the tip training. I am disgusted and found that there is no way to get anything remedied from these 'professionals'. They are supposed to correct their screw-ups but beware it is at their discretion!! (should have listened to everyone that warned me over and over and over and over!!) \r

There is a woman, plump with short platinum hair, who is an instructor--should have been fired a while ago!! She is incompetent but is instructing the students on how to cut hair. She corrected a cut only to have me have to GO BACK to get it re-done!!! WHO trains these people?!?!?! \r

The Brunette instructor is a wishy-washy wanna be that has no business dealing with the public. Horrible, horrible people!!! If you have brown/black/tan or olive skin-- JUST GO ELSEWHERE!!!! The students are good for the most part but they rely on the incompetents whose job it is to train them (apple and tree concept).\r

I am not a fan and never will be again. I was accommodating on schedule and the screw-ups because they are students BUT the LEVEL2's are worse than some of the Level 1's. What a farce and a joke. And they are raising tuition fees for this level of garbage work and cuts?! Soon will be $12k rather than $10k!!!! LOL!! Yea, right!! PUH-llleeeassseee!!!! \r

SHAME ON YOU PAUL MITCHELL!!!! The ignorant and unprofessional attitudes need to be checked. This school has a nice 'water-wall' that is it. Spa-day my a$$$!!! You do get what you pay for with this organization located in downtown Schenectady. If you are Caucasian and complain you will get better treatment--fact!! but then you tooo will eventually walk. Don't bother trying to ask for the real owner (skanky Tracey is NOT the owner, pretentious 'female').\r
