I contacted Patrick's Hair Design after a bad haircut at another salon in hopes of getting my hair fixed within the next week or two. The front desk listened to what I had to say and seemed very empathetic with my previous experience and apprehension. They actually put the owner, Jodie, on the phone and she squeezed me into her already full schedule the very next day!! When I walked in the salon I was greeted by a very friendly front desk who made me feel as though I'd been coming there for years. Jodie promptly came up to greet me. She made me feel very comfortable and confident that she would be able to give me the look that I was originally wanting to achieve. All I can say is that I have never been happier with not only a salon and stylist, but the overall experience. I am thrilled with the level of customer service that I received. I can not wait to be a repeat client of Patrick's Hair Design and especially Jodie. She is fantastic!! more

I bought the groupon deal and booked my first appointment at Patrick's Hair Design hesitantly. When it comes to my hair , I am very very very picky and I have a hair disease;so, keeping my hair pretty definitely keeps my morale high. I did not specifically asked for Sarah but was appointed to her by the front office. When I walked in, she greeted me with a big smile, showed me around and made me feel like it was not my first time there. She listened and made sure that she understood what I really wanted. She did a great match on my highlights, and also she cut exactly how I wanted it. Moreover, although my time was up, she blow dried and styled my hair to make sure I left the salon pretty:) Also, since I told her that I have a hair disease, she was more gentle on my hair then me. Overall, I definitely suggest Sarah, and Patrick's hair design. I will definitely be back. more

Anyone who is a stylist should book clients if you dont want to talk them!!! because now my hair looks a HORRIBLE and paid way to much money when i could have just gone to the hair cuttery if i wanted it butchered!! I WOULD MENTION TO EVERYONE NOT TO GO THERE THE SERVICES ARE NOT WORTH YOUR MONEY!!!!!!!!! more

Love this place. I was referred to this salon through a friend of mine. She goes to Karen M (they gave 2 Karen's there) and I am so glad I went there to see her. She gave me great highlights and a really cute haircut. This place rocks. It's beautiful and roomy. Fran at the front desk is equally awesome. Pros: plenty of parking, confortable waiting area more

\r Wow, this is a great salon. It's so pretty and clean and everyone is so friendly. My stylist was Karen and I loved the way she did my hair. She gave me highlights and a haircut and it looks great. I have gotten many compliments on it. Thanks Karen! more

I walked into the biggest most beautiful salon I had ever been in. 10/4/2008

I walked into I think the biggest, most beautiful salon I had ever been in, and i didn't have to wait very long to see Winni, who gave me a fantastic perm !!!!! I walked out of there a new woman!!!!!!! I got terrific hair and I still had quite a bit of money left over for the reasonably priced products. more

I have been going to Patrick's Hair Design to see Shan for years. I love it and will never go anywhere else! Everyone there is extremely friendly and they make me feel so comfortable. All the other stylists remember my name and always say hello and stop by to chat. Shan has cut my hair since I was young and I have never been unpleased about a single cut or color. She is also very stylish and up to date, so she knows what cuts are popular and in-style. In addition, Shan did every single one of my up-dos for high school events such as prom, homecoming, etc. She is the UPDO QUEEN. I have never recieved so many compliments about my hair. They were both creative and elegant. Shan will def. be doing my hair for my wedding. In my opinion, Patrick's is the best hair salon in the Columbia area. Pros: Easy parking . Beautifully decorated. Evening appointments available! more

Great Experience 6/12/2008

I had been looking for a place to get my hair done for a while. A co-worker of mine said "" Oh, you have to go she my hair dresser Shan"". So, even though I am coming all the way from Towson- I decided to give her a try. I am glad I did! She was wonderful. I have FINALLY found MY hair dresser. Horrible Experience, Keep Looking For A Better Place 5/20/2008

To all the men out there looking for a place to send your significant other to be pampered for whatever special occassion: FIND SOMEWHERE ELSE! I selected this salon over other's in the area for my wife, after reading the reviews. I have to believe the reviews were actually written by the people working there because they are completely inaccurate. My wife, a former model (imagine how much she values a good haircut), was butchered. Even a couple of her girlfriends at her office could not look her in the eye and say differently. My wife was very specific and clear as to exactly what she wanted done, and the lady was incapable of doing something I think I could have done better myself with a weedwacker and a case of beer. All this was in addition to the haircut taking nearly 3 hours. It took 3 hours because the stylist was getting her own hair done at the time. I paid around $150, and would have paid twice that, but expect the service to be on par and the stylists to be capable. Patrick's Hair Design failed on both counts. Do yourself a favor fellow guys, keep searching for that place to surprise your wife with, this is not the place. Pros: The only Pro: There are other salons out there and the world is not forced to be subjected to Patrick's Hair Design Cons: They failed every single possible gradeable event. more

AWFUL HAIRCUT 4/14/2008

I went there for the first time based on the reviews shown here. I was just going to get a TRIM on my hair. I made an appointment with Karen, and I when I left, I literally cried because of the cut. She took off a good inch plus of my hair, when I only wanted a reshaping--a MINIMUM amount of hair cut off. I haven't cried over my hair EVER and I have never not left a tip BUT I was so upset, I just left without a tip for her. Also, the cut itself is NOT good. I have a slightly stacked bob, and the back looks too blunt and choppy!!! I will NEVER go to this salon again, and I recommend to stay away from this stylist. Pros: They have specialized shampoos made for the salon Cons: AWFUL HAIRCUT! more

I have gotten color services I think in almost every salon in Howard county, Patrick's being the best so far! \r No snootiness, very relaxed professional quality service. I didn't have to sit and wait very long, my stylist was very knowledgeable, and I have amazing hair!!!!! No wonder they have been in business for thirty years!!!!!\r Ask for Shan Allen!!! Hair and Facial 4/22/2006

I have recently visited Patrick's Hair & Skin Salon for a Corrective coloring and was highly recommended to visit their Esthetician for a European Facial. One of thier highly experienced stylists had performed a Hair Color treatment and Color correction that was absolutely fantastic. During my visit she had informed me of their SkinCare Fascilities and I had to take advantage of overall experienced. Definately, I was in awe at the facial treatment and the expertise of knowledge with the Jane Irendale MakeUp Line. I am passing on to all my friends this is an overall experience not to will never forget and will want to continue without question. My greatest appreciation to everyone I have and will see at Patrick's Hair Design ! My Best to All Pros: Reasonable, Good Parking, Accomodating more

great friendly service. The staff not only has a great love for each other but one for you as you walk into the door. i had a great experience there and will be back. My hair looked great on top og all that. more
