After watching different videos of wisdom teeth extractions (almost all of them with gum and bone incisions ...) I was glad Dr. Zuniga explained to me that he was going to try to keep it as natural as possible to avoid further invasion... I did not realize at the time, but after watching the videos (because I watch them after the surgery) I have to admit that I felt really good... The doctor and the crew definitely did a great job and I am happy I have trusted my teeth to the guy, and he even is a very funny and friendly doctor. I personally recommend him! more

I recently moved from an existing dentist to Dr. Lena's, as I felt my previous dentist was ripping me off. Making up false issues, just to suck money out of my insurance company. From initial impressions, I like Dr. Lena. She is very professional, makes you feel at ease when you visit her (even when you have to have injections) and she is definately not out to rip you off. I also referred a co-worker to Dr. Lena and they returned saying they liked her and would be returning. So she's not that bad. more

Dr. Zuniga and his staff have provided excellent, friendly & accomodating dental care for my son. My son suffered a major accident which resulted in alot of dental work. I have been satisfied and pleased with the level of care and time invested in stabilizing my son's dental care. C.A more

This is the most horrifying experience that I have had with a dental office. He is outright dishonest, greedy and unethical. My husband and I both had work done and he never billed our insurance when his wife told me that they had and continued to be dishonest. I believe that you get what you give in life and his business will not prosper with his DISHONEST, GREED AND UNETHICAL PRACTICES. I did not have the money for my co-payment (which he lied about the amount) and they encouraged and begged me to put on a credit card. They should not be trusted and he is not in anyway sincere or honest. YOU ARE A GREEDY MAN AND MAY YOU CONSCIOUS EAT YOU ALIVE!!! more

The whole office is a very comfortable atmosphere and has a calming effect on me. When Dr Zuniga talks to me he is calm and he calms me down because of that. more

The reason I like it here is because Dr. Zuniga is so patient. He is careful and gingerly does his work. The result is that there is a very low level of pain. I had a LOT of dental work done by Dr. Zuniga and there was no swelling at all. more

I would recommend Dr. Gabriel Zuniga to anyone looking for a dentist who is knowledgeable and conscience of your needs. Dr. Zuniga is very candid about your particular situation and his staff is always friendly and greets you with a smile.\r \r They are also flexible if you need to make payments over time. From the moment I went into the dentist chair I was confused and felt like I was being given a sales pitch. The woman who took my xrays was instructing me in spanish, which I don't speak. When the dentist and his wife spoke to me, they kept trying to sell me unnecessary items and treatments. The dentist told me that the slight asymmetry between my two front teeth needed to be fixed (for $150, not covered by insurance) so people would take me seriously. They criticized the job my orthodontist had done on my teeth (this was a very good orthodontist) and suggested I get braces again.\r I have very good insurance, which pays for two tooth cleanings a year. However, they wouldn't give me a ""normal"" cleaning, only a ""deep"" cleaning, which has a hefty copay as well as ""medicine"" for another additional price. \r I had mostly been worried about my wisdom teeth, but the dentist didn't want to talk about them (because they might be, gasp, fully covered by my insurance...) and instead recommended over $500 copay of treatment. \r I will never go back. Cons: cost, confusing service, salesman-like bedside manner... more

I've found the staff and the service at the Pasadena Family Dental Center to be excellent. The receptionist is superb. Dr Zuniga is thorough and helpful as is his wife. The office, although not in the best location, is clean and attractive. New facilities, I understand, are under instruction. more

These people are dishonest, charging for procedures that are supposed to be covered. \r \r When I changed insurance, I had to find a new dentist and tried this guy out as he got a good review at another site.\r \r I was grossed out by the initial visit, as it is upstairs in a minimall and you have to walk behind stinky ethnic restaurant's back doors, complete with garbage smell. \r \r I gave the guy a chance, though, and got a filling replaced since it was an urgent situation. I was surprised that I was charged so much, so I called my insurance company and found out that it was in fact a covered benefit and I should have only been charged 1/4 of the price! The insurance lady who called them was shocked that they were so rude, and told her that I was not allowed to come back to the dentist because I had questioned them! They refused to reimburse me and were incredibly rude and nasty when my husband called to see what was going on. \r \r The wife of the dentist, Dr. Zuniga, told me that they love to get patients who do not ask questions and just hand over their credit card! They give you a laundry list of things that ""need"" to be done, and proceed to set up appointments for the laundry list, and then act surprised when you won't go along with them. \r \r Their facility also leaves a lot to be desired. Despite the fact that they have state of the art diagnostic equipment (that's the reason I went back after the first time) their actual equipment is dirty, and after I had the filling done I looked at the tray that they had the instruments on and it was NOT clean. Honestly, I hope I don't get a disease from the experience.\r \r I'm kind of worried about the state of dentistry if an office like this can stay in business. Oh, one of the charming details is that the dentist likes to yell at his staff and publicly humiliate them.\r \r All in all, this guy does not deserve your business. more
