I went to Paragon downtown for the first time yesterday. Amanda did a great job! I am so happy with my haircut!!! I will definitely be back! more

I wasn't prepared for post menapause hair dryout...my once beautiful hair was turning to straw. To make matters worse, I have an unhealthy obsession with split-ends and will start picking and cutting when I get them. I was doing solo after losing my steady stylist who had highlighted my hair last Christmas. Frustrated and unwilling to find another sylist I colored my hair and tried to deal with my resultant drying/split ends with over the counter products and a devise from hell that I found on the internet called ""Splitender!"" Don't ever use one! My first clue should have been the picture of the guy who invented it to deal with his own long hair and split ends. When the product arrived it had his picture on the over with short hair!! The product from hell damaged my hair cuticle and I was a frizzy, obsessed mess when I heard about Paragon from two women at work. I decided to research and landed on this page. When I read the review below mine about Amanda I knew she was ""my girl."" ""Understanding.... patient....listens!"" These were qualities I needed to get through the explaining I was going to be doing. Let me tell you...she is everything and more that the below review praised her for. She assured me I wasn't the worst case she'd seen and went about moisterizing my hair, assuring me how my hair was just ""drinking it on."" She polished, she shaped, she turned my once out of shaped, split mess into the best cut I have ever had (profile picture a year old.) I don't know how she did it, but my former highlights came shining through and I left with my hair as soft and shiney as when I was a youngun. She's very kind, very talented in her craft. more

I have been to 4 different salons in the Cincinnati area in the last 4 months. Today I took a chance at Paragon. My hair was highlighted as ""california blonde"" and had been dyed, highlighted and was a disgusting mess! One salon decided because my highlights were so close together they would do all over color and thats were the horrible problem started, it just continued through other salons not willing to take the time or listen to me. It looked so bad when I came in today they thought I had done it to myself. Unfortunately I had actually paid someone to look that bad! My hairstylist was Amanda. She not only took the time to listen to what happened but listened to what I wanted. She was very passionate and caring and I felt like I was in good hands. All of the girls consulted about what color they should use. Through out the process Amanda was very sympathetic and caring. I have VERY long and VERY thick hair and she ended up having to cross out her book for me for the rest of the day. Not only did she do that but she stayed 30 minutes past closing to make sure that I left happy. ( I had expressed that I have left many upscale salons in cincinnati with my hair wet because no one wants to take the time to dry it) Not only was it perfect but I left with it dried and styled. I did not have to worry about going home to ""fix"" my hair after paying hundreds of dollars before I went out in public. I understood coming in that it will be a work in process but I cant imagine how much better its going to look. Amanda deserves a special praise for not only her hairstylist skills but her people skills as well. I was noticeably upset when I came in and then entire procedure was completely uplifting. They say doctors need good bedside manner but hairstylists as well need good chair manner. Amanda was way beyond what I expected and I couldn't be more satisfied. My friends were anxious to see how this visit would turn out. The first one I called said she did not need to even ask how it went because she could tell in my voice I was MUCH happier! I also sent a picture out and got back comments that said not only does it look great but you finally look happy again! I am getting married in July 2012 so to have the comfort that I will be able to walk down the aisle with normal hair means the world to me. Please give Amanda an extra pat on the back because she literally improved my life today. I will defiantly be back! more

I am so glad I read reviews on this website and found Tina Maria at Paragon downtown. Not only do I love my haircut and color but also that she took the time to listen to me and teach me techniques and tricks to enhance my style. She is a true professional who obviously loves her job and most of all her clients! more

My daughter and I both have been going to Tina Maria at Paragon downtown for nearly 2 years. She is FANTASTIC and not just a stylist but a true artist. We have gone to great salons out in West Chester however it is so worth the drive! Hair has never looked so fabulous and our colors both seem to last so much longer then other color I have received in the past. Keeps getting better everytime! Love you Tina Maria, muah! more

The salon is a sophisticated mdern piece of ART. The team members look like supermodels, with personailties made of Gold...great experience:) will return Pros: educated staff, beautiful salon, great management Cons: parking, but will validate more

I just had my eyebrows waxed at the Paragon Salon downtown. Elena did a fabulous job, was quick but still paid attention to what she was doing. Pros: Quick and Easy for a quick lunch appointment Cons: makes me not want to go back to the office more

Suzanne Akers has cut and colored my hair for years -- she's great! Service is fast, friendly, and professional. They do great color and your desired styling -- practical, fancy, or inbetween. I love their new facilities. Convenient hours and hospitality snacks. Plus, they are downtown, a big plus. Pros: Skill, service, easy access Cons: Price, but you pay for what you get. more

Paragon was suggested to me by a friend, so I thought I would give it a try. I had my hair cut by Debbie, and it was terrible. I wanted my short hair trimmed, and slightly shorter in the back. What she did was completely shave over one inch off the bottom of my hair, and crookedly cut the bottom. There was no gradation (which I asked for) and the cut wasn't even at all. The cut created a right angle on the back of my head, which just looked awful. When I went home to look at it, I had to call to complain about the cut (something I had never done before). I talked to the manager, and I would say that she was understanding, and I got a full refund. However, I will never, ever take my chances with a place that does not listen to its customers, and thinks that shaving over an inch off the bottom of a woman's head is a good look. more

Rachel has been doing my pedicure and manicures for about 5 years now and i couldnt be happier!She always is acomadating with my hectic schedual,and gives an enjoyable relaxing pedi.This is really the only time I get tomyself,so I enjoy it.The salon is so friendly,and the parking is great!Rachel Stone I dont know what Id do without you!I even drive from down town to fields erttle to see her.The whole expierience is great.
