This is my new favorite place to eat. If you have never eaten at Pappadeaux Seafoid, you need to find one near you and try it! The food was spectacular , service was great. What more can I say! more

I used to work there 3/30/2012

You know you can trust food that the employees eat there too. Well, we do!! I used to work there a couple years back as a hostess. I have never seen better service than what Pappadeaux's provides. Also, the kitchen is the cleanest kitchen I've ever seen. They also take it extremely seriously if you say you have a food allergy. Best place in town to eat by far!!! (they're also a great place to work for if you're looking :) more

Surprised by the positive reviews 4/10/2011

Granted, it's been a few years since I've been here.. and granted, I'm a New Orleans native. So my opinion is obviously a bit biased. However, I was quite unimpressed by the food here. It was bland and did not taste fresh at all, and it was WAY overpriced for what you got. Only positives were that I got decent service, and the atmosphere was kind of fun. I'd love to find good seafood here in Abq, but I think I'll just wait until I visit New Orleans again. Pappadeaux is definitely not worth the visit. more

Wonderful 3/30/2011

Pappadeaux is an awesome seafood place. they have a seasonal crawfish dish that i am in love with. their food is great- tasting and fresh. It is always a great dining experience. more

Wonderful! 2/4/2010

We took my mother-in-law for her 80th birthday, as well as my nephew for his 25th. The food was great, service was spot-on, everything was wonderful...so wonderful, in fact, that I requested to go for MY birthday coming up! I can't imagine what happened between 1/22/2010 when we went and 1/23/2010 when the other reviewer said they had such a bad time...strange!!! Pros: food is great! Cons: pricey, but not more than any other seafood place more

Great Atmosphere 1/25/2010

We were there on 1/23/10 for a Birthday dinner. Only one of the three dishes was satisfactory. On the Filet Mignon Pappadeaux the spinach was too salty to eat, mashed potatoes were almost as bad and the asparagus was barely warm let alone cooked. The crab stuffed shrimp was so salty you couldn't eat it and the green beans had barely been cooked. Over all it was a great disappointment - especially for a birthday celebration. A fair amount was spent for three people and we don't feel we got our money's worth out of the meals. We told our waiter how salty the food was and he said sometimes it does come out that way. I have been there several times before and the meals were always great, but after this visit I'm not sure if we will ever eat there again. Pros: Excellant Filet Mignon Cons: Salty food. more

Love the Seafood 1/8/2010

I have to say that I have never really eaten Creole type food, but if Pappadeaux's is an example of it, then I love it.? I love the bold flavors of the food and you can definitely tell that it is fresh.? Pappadeaux's is my favorit seafood restaurant that I have been to.? It is a chain of restaurants, but the quality of the food is always great.? I love the seafood skewer with Salmon, Scallops, Shrimp, Onions, Bell Peppers on a bed of dirty rice.? The Salmon is cooked just right, they are so tender and the meat just breaks off perfectly cooked.? The Scallops are also cooked perfectly not too long so its not chewy and not raw although if you have to err on any side, I would always prefer undercooked when it comes to seafood.? What makes the dish is the dipping sauce that comes with the dish.? Its a buttery sauce and you can taste a hint of wine in the sauce that complements the whole dish so well.? I've also tried the Catfish Oppelousas, although I'm not a big fan of catfish, they'll let you substitute it for another fish.? I chose Salmon.? The sauce has great big bold flavors and oysters in it.? Pappadeaux's is definitely a place that you? can go to and order anything on the menu and you will always be pleased.? Pros: Fresh Seafood more

Excellent! 11/4/2009

I was in Albuquerque on business for 12 nights and ate here 5 times! I usually arrived around 5:30 p.m. when Happy Hour was in full swing. One of the nightly Happy Hour specials is Grey Goose martinis for $5.50. The bartender made them well. Oysters were served in a large mound of ice and very fresh. The alligator was the best I have ever had and served with three dipping sauces. The decor is upscale casual. I highly recommend sitting at the bar where all the action is. Pros: Martinis, Oysters and Gator more

Was it the scallops? 10/18/2009

The other 3 diners were impressed with their meals. However, I seemed to think my pan seared scallops were undercooked, or at least half of them. Regretably, I did not return the undercooked scallops and within an hour or so, I was sick - very sick. I should have known better. Pros: location, food presentation Cons: too dark more

Is it just me? 5/12/2009

It's unfortunate that the 2 times I went to Pappadeaux's, each time I was given poor service. The first time my husband and I went, we were seated by the hostess and the waitress. I asked to be seated in a certain area and I could see the glares the hostess and waitress had given each other. I asked if that was ok and of course she said yes....kinda awkward. Second time I was in a party of 18 ..the waiter and waitress were excellent until one of the servers slammed down the tray and said..""Where does THIS go?"" My jaw dropped. Pros: Excellent food... Cons: Hope you get a good server.... more

Excellent food and good service 8/15/2007

We enjoyed the sister restaurant Pappacitos so we though we would give this a try. We had the Shrimp Creole and a spinach salad with shrimp and a creamy blue cheese dressing. Both excellent and the portions were large. Hot french bread was served with the meal and it was good. It is a large facility and very busy but the service was on spot and friendly. The menu is varied and if you crave some New Orleans favorites but can't get there, this was a good alternative. The only weak spot was the bar as no frosted glass for the beer and the Bloody Mary was only average. We will go back. Pros: Tasty food, large portions, good open feeling, excellent service Cons: Bar was average more

THE BEST SEAFOOD IN ALBUQUERQUE, GREAT SERVICE, NICE ATMOSPHERE, GREAT FOR LARGE GROUPS 2/16/2007

I HAVE EATEN AT THIS RESTAURANT NUMEROUS TIMES WITH MY HUSBAND. WE HAVE ALSO TAKEN OUR CHILDREN, GRANDCHILDREN AND GUESTS THERE WHEN THEY VISITED. THE PLACE IS CLEAN, THE FOOD IS ALWAYS EXCELLENTLY PREPARED, THE SEAFOOD FRESH AND THE SERVICE STAFF ALWAYS POLITE AND ATTENTIVE. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT. Pros: GREAT FOOD, AMBIENCE AND SERVICE Cons: ALWAYS CROWDED more

Tiny piece of fish, pile of fries 2/11/2006

no salad or bread served with meals. Tiny portion of Fish is good, should be something else besides a pile of fries. Pros: fish is good Cons: tiny fish portions, no bread, lack of variety more

Always impressed - LOVE this place! 8/8/2005

Ate here 5 times & always impressed. We usually celebrate an occasion here b/c we can count on a perfect atmosphere, kinda busy, kinda romantic and dark, nice music and of course always GREAT seafood. They have live music (don't know what nights) outside... Highly recommend their rum shots - we had 2 each with our drinks and they were SO good. Also, the Orleans fillet, salmon, Mahi Mahi w/ Diablo sauce (I think they took it away though, but the cook can special order it), & always the Pappadeaux platter! They have great mixed drinks & actually have alcohol in them and are worth the money - I always feel good after the first one, unlike other restaurants. Another thing, we have never waited too long for a table during busy times & if so, they have a big bar to have a couple drinks at anyways. Pros: Food, Drinks, Atmosphere more

TERRIBLE!!!! DO NOT EAT HERE!!! 6/30/2005

Give me a break...like I really believe the previous reviews were written by actual customers. Sounds like second rate ad copy whipped up by someone in their marketing department. The food, service and ambience are a joke - nothing but overpriced pseudo Cajun junk passed off as athentic ethnic cuisine. I spent many years in Louisiana and this place does not do it justice. The dirty rice was dry, fish was over cooked and the service robotic. Don't waste your time. Cons: price, food, ambience more

One of Albuquerque's Best Seafood Restaurants 6/19/2005

One of my favorite restaurants for seafood. The Prince Edward Island's Mussels are out of this world!!! The Greek Salad is a must... Pros: Good food Cons: Noisy, Somewhat of a wait more

yum 5/17/2005

Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen has outstanding seafood! The variety of items and meals on the menu is extraordinary. They have something to satisfy anyone's appetite or craving. more

EXCELLANT 5/16/2005

In a place that is land locked, Pappadeaux is an EXCELLANT seafood restaurant. Always fresh, fast and huge portions. The staff is all very kind and professional. I highly recommend this as a place to bring dates, but it is also a good family place. It is casual so it does not require any fancy clothing. There lunch time specials are also terrific and much less costly than dinner PROS: They have something for everyone! CONS: A little on the expensive side, but not so pricy that it is not enjoyable. more

Fantastic!!!! 6/8/2004

This was the most wonderful experience my husband and I have had eating out. The best seafood in town and the most wonderful desserts. The Blackened oyster fondue is a great way to start the meal. If it's just the two of you, try ordering the pappadeax platter and splitting it. If you have room for dessert, the creme brulee is the best I've ever had. Try the White Lightening Margarita for grins....... Pros: Great Service, Fantastic Food, Great Atmosphere Cons: , Some Wait for Seating more

You wanna SEE some Seafood? 8/26/2002
