Very friendly, attentive service. Have gone back to Paper moon two times in a row because we both enjoyed it so much. The atmosphere is quaint for 2 old friends to sit and catch up and friendly enough for our 3 teenage daughters we took with us on our last trip. The food is excellent (a clean plate experience) the prices are very reasonable, and the staff is happy to serve and make sure that you have an excellent meal.\r more

We have eaten at Paper Moon many times over the past two years when we have been visiting our sons at GWU and each time it has been terrific. As they have gotten to know our name (we always make a reservation) their attentiveness improved, however, service was good prior to that. They aim to please and I'm sure that as long as you are polite they will promptly handle any issue to your satisfaction.\r more

I had a great experience here with a group of friends. Service was speedy and the food was amazing. I had the calamari as an appetizer, and after the lobster fra diavlo. Service was spectacular, all the wait staff was very nice. 5 stars, even my service at the bar before my meal was great.\r more

My spouse and I took the kids for dinner to Paper Moon. We were very pleased. The host checked our reservation and took us straight to a nice quite table fit for our young kids. The dishes suggested by the waiter (Ben) such as, my Lobster Fra Diavlo was delicious, I had no problem with my kids as they were able to order from a variety of pasta they have on their menu. Even my husband, who is difficult to satisfy, enjoyed the fish entree suggested by our waiter, as a seafood choice. Overall, the greeting, atmosphere and treatment, and the price considering it was dinner time, exceeded our expectation. If you are to go out for an Italian romantic or family dinner, do not miss some of the best of Washington DC restaurant such as Paper Moon.\r more

I was really surprised to discover that the food was awesome and the service welcoming and attentive! A nice and polite Maitre Dee offered a small table by the window. Next to it I recognized ""the middle-age Italian sweet"" waiter described in the negative review that motivated my choice. I declined the offer and pointed to another table in the back hoping for a different server. Despite a hesitating look and his Hispanic accent, my waiter was perfectly able to sell me a $45 prix fixed menu that includes a free glass of wine implementing the 4th course.\r more

Paper Moon definitely did not disappointed me. Prices were reasonable, wine was very good, server was knowledgeable, discreet, helpful and polite, and the food was absolutely wonderful. Having been to Italy twice and looking forward to a third time we're always skeptical when a restaurant advertises as authentic Italian but it was apparent from the beginning the Chef takes his Italian food very seriously. I had the $8 calamari for an appetizer which was heaped up on a plate and mixed in with fresh peeled tomatoes, olives, and I believe red pepper, a presentation I had not had before (it usually comes with some sort of icky sticky sauce) and it was wonderful, perfectly tender yet light and fresh tasting. wife had the salmon carpaccio which was recommended by the manager which too was excellent. For dinner I had the lobster ravioli which was al dente as pasta should be, rich yet not heavy. But the wife hit the jackpot with the Osso bucco . It was just flat out delicious.\r more

All of their pasta sauces and noodles are home-made, and you can taste the tenderness in the noodles and the freshness in the sauce. I've been coming to Papermoon for fifteen years and I have never been disappointed!\r more

In my opinion, Papermoon has the best Italian food in all of DC! The food is real, authentic, and delicious Italian cuisine. The service is always great and welcoming. I always start off the Insalata Di Endivia, a Belgian endive salad with toasted walnuts and gorgonzola chesse in a raspberry dressing. If I'm extra hungry, I'll order the mushroom caps or fried calamari as an appetizer. For the main course, I usually always order one of their exquisite veal dishes. The veal sorrento, veal with mushrooms, and sun-dried tomatoes in a brandy cream sauce, is absolutely to die for\r more

So much room to spread out and have a good time, djs play more than just the latest hip hop and techno, but also international and latin. Very fun crowd, you could be in a dress or in jeans, everyone is just there to have a good time. Plenty of places to sit and talk if you get tired of the dance floor, and the bar is always stocked well, manger is very friendly and accomodating.\r more

I went to this restaurant for a wedding rehearsal party. I thought the food was delicious and the service was excellent. I got the lamb chops and they were some of the best I had. My wife got the spaghetti and meatballs and they tasted fabulous. We had 20 people in our group and they all left very satisfied. The price for the food is very reasonable too. I will be going back very soon\r more

I've always walked by this place, the antique decor and the European style outdoors seating made me to finally decide to try it out. Me and my coworker were happy that we got seated outside immediately with NO reservation on a Friday evening, Thanks to the nice staff and the weather that was cooperating! The waitress was friendly and professional; within seconds we were greeted and offered iced cold water, introducing herself with a nice smile. We ordered out drinks and appetizers. The undecided me took me a while to decide what to order for the entrees, the waitress was very kind to suggest couple of things, one that i ordered and was so delightful.\r more

I ordered the arugula salad which was supposed to come with dried cranberries which didn't, but the waitress was quick to apologize and informed me that they were out. I' m a bit picky, i chose the arugula salad because of the cranberries so the waitress changed the appetizer for me with no problems what so ever. I ended up getting their salmon Carpacio which I really enjoyed and thought it's a better choice to have some protein added up!! My friend started with the mushroom caps, unbelievably delicious!, it's basically jumbo Portobello mushrooms stuffed with perfectly seasoned crab meat, so good! While we were done with the appetizers, our entrees arrived right away.\r more

I had to take a min to describe my recent dining experience that felt very special on a Thursday evening. The food and service were great from the moment we walking in the door, until we left at the end of the evening, we were treated by everyone as if they were very grateful for us coming by. The food was amazing, my Carpaccio and my Veal Chop were perfect.\r more

Over all, the dinner I had was exactly what my date and I wanted and more than reasonably priced in a great atmosphere. Also, just on a side note, I accidentally left my phone on the table and had it promptly returned to me upon coming back for it. Just wanted to give a shoutout to the manager on duty that night and say a big THANK YOU!\r more

I am relatively new to DC and a friend in town suggested we go there this past week for dinner. I went with a group of 6 and we had a great time. The staff was very good at their job and amusing to boot. The best thing I liked was when one of us suggested we order an entree that the server did not feel was a good value, he let us know. We ended up getting a platter with everything you can imagine on it for a more then good price. The wine list had a very good variety of options at reasonable prices. Most of the list was under the 50 dollar mark. Overall the food was very good and the portions were huge. We enjoyed ourselves and I feel I have found a restaurant worth returning to in DC which isn't as easy as I thought it would be.\r more

I bought a groupon months ago, and finally went to brunch this afternoon. Everything was lovely! The drinks were great, the food was tasty, the staff was very nice, and that area of Georgetown is so fun to explore! I definitely recommend going for brunch. The restaurant is gorgeous inside and I have absolutely nothing negative to report about my experience. It's even good for people watching!\r more
