Does my GRANDDOG count as "my" pet? I think so, so I am going to write about her. Her name is Piglet and if you view My Judy's Book Page, you will see a couple of pictures of her after she had visited a local vet for her regular shots. Banfield was the name of the insurance my daughter had taken out for her when we first moved to Colorado Springs. The morning of her appointment, I dropped Piglet off. They said I could pick her up in about 4 hours. I called after the 4 hours and they said to give them another hour and then come get her. When I did, poor Piglet was scared to death. She RAN to me, wouldn't let me pick her up though, I attached her leash and she RAN all the way to car. She was in PAIN. When I got her back to the house, she crawled under the bed and wouldn't come out. When my daughter came home, she took one look at her and she had these horrible bruises on her. She immediately called the vet and asked if she could bring her back, that she was bruised badly. After that little visit, they said she had a "blood disorder" and they had her purchase Vitamin K pills and said to bring her back in a week or two. Well, needless to say, she did NOT go back there and never will. It took an entire week before she would come out and just sit with us. And, we did not give her more than one dose of the Vitamin K. This vetinary hospital was located in the PetSmart store. I'd be very leary of taking any pet there for any reason. PetSmart is fine .. just not the hospital that is located in there.
