I have known Carla for over 15 years. I am constantly amazed at how knowledgeable, skilled, and ahead of the times she always is in the area of fitness and personal training. She has high expectations of the other trainers in the studio as well. Your specific needs are focused on, and with your trainer's help, you will reach your goals and beyond. The studio is well set up with a wide array of equipment. There are private one on one sessions, small group workouts, classes, and events available. Amazing personal training 3/13/2009

I have been a client of Carla's for almost 6 months and the results have been outrageous! The facilities are intimate and clean and they have everything needed for a complete workout. Carla assessed my initial situation and tailored a program that fit my goals. She is great to work with and I have never had the same workout twice. I always leave feeling tired and feeling good. I really like the focus on the basics of strength building, core exercises and aerobic training. After 4 months I lost 12 pounds of fat and gained 4 pounds of muscle and I can?t describe the change in attitude I have about my own body image. I?ve visited the new LA Fitness down the block and left starry-eyed at the facilities but the personalized training regimen I receive from Carla could never be duplicated there. I had the pleasure of meeting up with Carla Quam after reading a testimony from the O.F. website of a skinny 55 year old male who got results. Naturally, I quickly signed up and started training hard under Carla. I have trained off and on over the years but with Carla, I got noticable results in about 12 weeks and I even had coworkers, who I do not normally work with, ask if I've been working out. Generally, the training is one-on-one with, at times, no other trainer in the gym. I will be a returning customer! more

No more excuses! 8/2/2007

We first met Carla nearly 8 years ago through a referral from one of her clients. Approximately 5 years ago, we started working out together with Carla twice weekly as a way to spend time together while doing something that was beneficial for our physical health. We had tried gym memberships in the past, however, consistently found that a membership provided for too many easy excuses for skipping workouts. We found that Carla consistently monitors our progress from session to session and helps us meet our individual goals. One of our favorite aspects of working out with a personal trainer is that you never repeat the same workout twice! After 5 years of workouts, Carla still has the ability to push us to the point of exhaustion while having fun and providing encouragement when necessary. Best Trainer 7/15/2007

Outrageously Fit is an excellent personal training studio - they help people accomplish all types of goals, from weight loss, to muscle building, to marathon training. All of the staff are great but hands down Amy Woods is the best trainer we've ever worked with. She helps you quantify your goals and then develops a plan to help you achieve them. Her sessions are tough but fun and never boring - she constantly changes the exercises and order so that you're body is continually challenged. You are working hard each session but she also knows when to ease up or when to push your harder - the hour session goes by before you even know it. In addition, she is such a great person to be around, always fun, always energetic. We would highly recommend Amy and Outrageously Fit to anyone interested in improving their health and achieving their goals. Totally outrageous!!! 7/9/2007

My husband and I have Amy Woods as our trainer. What a gal she is. She's tough, and that is good, but she is also very compasionate and understanding. I told her my goals and she has worked on every one of them. I have never been as fit as I am now - both phsically and mentally. I am 65 and she is aware pf my phsical limitations. I also have Type II diabetes, She is always keeping track of what I a eating, which makes me accountable to eat good food. I owe her a ton of gratitude for what she is doing for me. Seeing Amy is the best thing I have ever done! You rock girl!! Pros: Casual and friendly atmosphere Cons: Parking not adequate more

""Try It, You'll Like It"" 7/9/2007

We have been clients of the studio for apprx. 18 months now. We find them to be exactly what they advertise. Our trainer, Amy Woods, spent a whole lot of time with us getting aquainted and finding out what our goals were and what we hoped to accomplish. She has never waved from helping us reach those goals. She is very, very good at what she does. She is fair but she is tough, tough in a good sense. That being, her primary goal is to help us reach our goals. Without reservation I can highly recommend Outrageously Fit Personal Training Studio in general and Amy in paticuliar. Amy makes us feel just plain good about outselves. Best fitness & training 7/9/2007

My partner and I have been working with Amy for one and a half years. We are middle aged women who wanted to get in better shape. Thanks to Amy's help we exceeded our expectations. Our workouts are varied and pinpoint our unique needs. Ambiance is casual & all ages & body types are made to feel welcome; the environment is relaxed and unpretentious.. We find Amy to be extremely knowledgeable & responsive. Muscular thumbs way up! more

My trainer is the best 4/13/2007

I've been going to Outrageously Fit for over 5 years now and I am so happy with the trainer I have. Carla knows exactly what to do to get the results I want. Initially I was going to see a trainer for a few months but I enjoy it so much that I've continued for years! I've watched other trainers there and I can see why this place is so popular - they're all great with their clients. It's a very comfortable environment and it's fun (as they say). I highly recommend Carla or any of the trainers there! Pros: Nonintimidating environment and quality trainers Cons: Can get busy in the evenings so parking can be difficult - but it is the city - parking is bad everywhere! more

I wouldn't go anywhere else. If you want to get fit, this is the place to go. They know their stuff and will give you a work-out that makes celebrity trainers look wimpy and behind the times. more

Great individual training 8/16/2006

I've been going to Outrageously Fit for a year. Its a cozy place but not crowded. There's no meat heads either. My wife and I workout together once a week with one trainer, Tammy. She puts together idividual workouts for each of us that are different each week. She's fun yet attentive and serious when needed. I get a good workout but can still move the next day. She'll push you but not torture you. more

I work with Carla and she is great! I have been a regular twice a week at Outrageously Fit for almost five years. I never dreamt I would be that consistent about working out. I give lots of credit to Carla, my personalized and well balanced work out plans, the variety of equipment I have access too, the friends I have made and the overall great energy that you feel when you go there. more

This is going to sound like one of those cheesy ads you find in the back of a magazine, but it's all true...! When I started working with Tammy at Outrageously Fit in 2003, I was a nearly 300-lb couch potato. By 2005, I had earned a five-state triathlon ranking by being one of only 17 women to complete three qualifying triathlons (a sprint, an Olympic, and a half-Ironman), and this year I completed the 200-mile Seattle-to-Portland Bike Classic in one day. None of this would have ever been possible without the training, support, and encouragement provided by Tammy, Monica, Amy, Carla and the other great trainers at Outrageously Fit! Great atmosphere for first timers 8/13/2006

Outrageously Fit, and especially Tammy, my trainer, is so welcoming and relaxed. As a newbie to the gym scene, I never felt intimidated, out of my league, or embarrassed to be working out there. The equipment is all first rate. In addition to training, they offer a number of great classes, such as yoga and fitness boxing. Tammy really knows her stuff, and the other trainers I've been exposed to do too. People are working out at many different levels, and receiving the type of training they need - supportive, nurturing, tough, etc. Pros: Professional trainers, excellenct equipment, plenty of workout space Cons: Very busy Wed evenings more

Very unique! 8/16/2005

The trainers are friendly and professional. I like the environment. It's not big like a health club. I never felt very comfortable working out at big health clubs. I've met many of the other clients there and they sweat and workout hard but seem to love that. I always have a great workout!! My trainer pushes me just enough, which is rare to find. My trainer knows exactly what I need. It feels like we're all one big happy family there. I don't think there's any other place like it. I've been going there for few years now and I wouldn't go anywhere else. more

Awesome Trainers 2/20/2005

This is the best workout place ever. All of the trainers make working out fun and challenging. I feel like I'm reaching my goals even sooner than I thought I would. When I first walked in, I was astonished by what I saw! Lots and lots of workout space! Wanderfull pieces of workout gear that realy matter! not that bulky linear machine stuff used to sell you on how cool the gym is. When it gets down to it, Out Fit has everything I need for my workouts, wheather it be core work, weight lifting, or cardio arobics! They also have a rock climbing wall I can practice on!!! I was sooo very bless to have found Outrageously Fit in Ballard. And the best part, It feels like i'm visiting a best friends house, becuase everyone is so friendly and helpfull. Nothing like the ""car dealerships"" of todays gyms with all that presure of selling. I'm very bussy owning my own buisness, and when I can go to the studio and-just-feel-good-about-working-out-without-any distractions, it-allows-me-to-vent-and-feel-good-about-exercising! Bottom-line. Out-Fit-has-helped-me-as-a-profesional-in-many-difrent-ways, staying-fit gives-me-more-energy-and-my-clients-can-really-see-the-diffrence!
