After struggling in this economy and not being able to afford to go out for the last 5 months we were very excited when, on Father's day, we were able to afford a night out. 1st of all the waitress got my order wrong, no big deal but as soon as the food came out they accidentally dumped my entire glass of soda on my lap. Accidents happen so that isn't why I am writing this review. I am writing it because of the way this incident was handled. We had to leave immediately, since I was entirely drenched from the waist down and it was very cold in that air conditioning. We spend over $70 on the dinner and $12, waiting at the bar only to have to leave as soon as the food arrived. The staff was very apologetic but that was about it in the way of compensating us for ruining our evening. We had to go home and I had to shower and change, by the time I was again cleaned up we missed our movie and the next showing was too late for our kids to attend so we ended up staying home, eating our COLD dinner. To add insult to injury they CHARGED US FOR THE DRINK they spilled on me. I never even got to drink it! The manager made an extremely lame offer to pay for dry cleaning. She obviously knew I wouldn't be after her for dry cleaning a pair of jeans so I feel that was an empty offer in the 1st place. Stay far away from this place, I feel like we were robbed! They didn't even offer to give me something to sit on, whiich would have been nice considering my behind was covered in coke syrup. Now I have a sticky front seat to thank them for as well. more

I have been going to this Outback for at least 10 years. Compared to other Outback's in the Detroit area, I enjoy coming here because the servers were trained to perfection and I rarely have to return my steaks due to overcooking. Well, last night, my positive critique ended. The server wasn't trained well. He was unattentive and sloppy. He wanted to place my used knife back on the table. I asked him politely to bring me a new one. Consequently, he returned with a knife rather than present me with a new set of silverware. The 8 ounce Outback was thinner than usual. When I asked it to be redone, the manager politely presented me with a larger size because the 8 ounces were thinner than usual. The server had to point out ""you got a larger one at no cost.,"" which was completely distasteful. Pros: Beef up the training standards more

Every time I try another steakhouse I compare it to Outback and it never quite equals it, let alone beat it. I walk in to Outback and I know exactly what my meal will be and I am never diappointed. In all the years I have been eating at this reaurant I have never been disappointed... not once! There was only one time when I had a complaint. My medium rare steak got mixed up with another table's well done steak. Not only did they immediately prepare me a new steak but they removed the charge from my bill. An honest mistake and a generous correction. Pros: delicious food, excellent service, always clean Cons: long waits at peak times, smoking section next to wait area more
