Be careful when you schedule! We had 4 2/22/2012

Be careful when you schedule! We had 4 people for body wraps scheduled but when we walked in it was "oh, sorry! We dont show you". I had called several times because they were going to have an extra tech come in to handle us 2 by 2. When we showed up they acted like we were in the wrong place unitl I started to desrcibe their wraps; then they just shrugged - "oh, well - sucks to be you" attitude. Not once did they attempt to show they cared or tried to make things right. It was an "oops!" attitude and "there's the door". Go to any other spa - you'll instantly get better service than this place. "Grand" needs to be changed to "Lousy" and they should fire the girl at the front desk! more

Oregon's Finest 10/24/2011

Stephen is the greatest hairstylest you will ever meet! I did a very horrible color job on my own that I thought that I wouldn't be able to fix and was suggested to see stephen by my sister. He did such an amazing job not only did he fix my disaster of a color but I walked out looking better than I expected. He is a great listener and I can say that I will come back from here on out. Awesome Manis/Pedis! 10/24/2011

I have been going to Heidi at Oregon's Grand SalonSpa for 2 years now, and she always does a phenomenal job. She is always very pleasant and personable and her work is exquisite. I definitely recommend the Shellac manicure.........it lasts at least 2 weeks without chipping, peeling or fading. more

Brides Beware 9/3/2011

I scheduled an appointment for my bridal party to have our hair done on the day of my wedding and was assured it would take 2 hours with 2 stylists. When we arrived on time, only one stylist was present and we were told the other "lives far away and will be late." When the second stylist showed up, 40 minutes past our appointment time, he announced that he "doesn't do up-do hairstyles." So one stylist was in charge of the 4 people in the bridal party and the promised 2 hour appointment took 3 hours and 45 minutes. This put the entire day behind schedule, added additional stress and made it so we weren't able to take as many pictures as we would have liked. Each hairstyle cost $60, though 3 out of 4 bridal party members had to re-curl and re-pin their hair once we got to the venue because the styles were already falling apart. The quality of the service did not match the high price. After the wedding, I went back to the salon and spoke with the owner/manager about my negative experience. She let me know that "we don't typically take on bridal parties because they are nearly impossible to make happy" and "usually we charge $120 per bridal style." She was not apologetic and spoke to me as if I was a high maintenance bride. Overall, I found my experience at Oregon's Grand SalonSpa to be unprofessional, overpriced and low quality. more

After move not so good 8/5/2011

I've been going to Oregon's Grand Salon Spa for a while and I loved their old location. After they moved to their new location I found out that the hairdresser that always did my hair moved away. He was awesome so I figured I'd give someone else a try. I showed this guy a picture and he didn't make my hair look anything like it. I kept telling him I want more cut off but he wouldn't because he thought it wouldn't look good. After he actually cut some off he commented "oh it actually does look good". It seemed like he was too worried about cutting my hair. I'm not going back because I walked out with hair all over my neck, down my shirt, and even on my legs. The cut turned out ok although not what I wanted. They say you're supposed to be able to walk out of the hairdressers and go out to dinner or something... well I wanted to go take a shower. more

FULL SERVICE, LUXE DECOR; AFFORDABLE! 3/25/2011

I had been driving to the east side for more than 2 yrs to follow my previous hair dresser and I was loathe to leave her. I needed to find the same attention to detail, someone who would listen to what I wanted, and an atmosphere that allowed me to relax and be pampered. I am happy to say that Grand Salon & Spa is THE place for that! I was fortunate enough to have Stephen M. cut my hair. He listened to everything I said, and with his many years of experience he delivered exactly what I wanted. I have been back for facials, and I am looking forward to trying other services. This will be easy bc the Salon sends email offers to clients all the time! With these offers my girlfriends and I have been introduced to the high quality, super affordable pampering available within a 20 min drive of the house! GO CHECK THEM OUT! more

Eyebrows good, haircut bad 1/31/2011

I've been seeing Donna for my eyebrows for years. People comment on my brow perfection everywhere I go. She is absolutely the best, best, best! I tell everyone to go see Donna for their brows. But as much as I love Donna, I have had the worst experiences with haircuts and color at the salon. When I find someone I like, they leave. Then I try three more people until I find someone else that understands my long, thick, wavy hair. One time, a stylist prepped my hair color and was about to apply it to my head, but she'd never asked me what color I wanted (and was about to apply the wrong one)! Yesterday I went in for a trim, saw someone that had done a good job the previous time, and the result was beyond awful. He didn't dry it, so I couldn't see until it was dry later in the day that the front was longer than the back and the right side was 3 inches longer than the left side! I could have gotten a better cut at Supercuts, and paid way less. When I leave a salon, I want to feel like I look amazing. Too often, I leave Oregon's Grand wondering if I've wasted my money. After years of frustration with getting my hair done at Oregon's Grand, I'm so done. Never again! more

Donna is a perfectionist and when it comes to permanent eyeliner she is the only one I would trust with my eyes! Her experience and professionalism really put your mind at ease if you are the slightest bit apprehensive about getting permanent makeup. I do not hesitate to recommend her services to everyone. Great Place 8/26/2010

I have been a patron at The Grand Salon for almost a year. I should have provided feedback to you sooner. Heidi is awesome!!!! She is an excellent nail technician. Her years of experience and attention to detail enables her to provide very relaxing mani's and pedi's that leave my fingers and toes feeling and looking wonderful!!! She is great with hair as well!! She always wants to please me and listens to what I say. Her advice on color is spot on. The Salon is very clean and efficiently run. The reception staff is very friendly and makes everyone feel welcome. Since I spend alot of money on my hair and nails it is important to me to patronize a salon that meets my standards and is a place I look forward to visiting. Keep up the good work!!! more

Affordable Luxury! 5/25/2010

First let me start off with saying this is the first time I have written a review for anyone! In fact, it took me quite a bit of time trying to figure how to do it & I had to sign up for CitySearch first. I don't know why anyone would go to the "cattle mani/pedi" shops when you can have luxury, relaxation & privacy for the same price as those "other" establishments. The first time I went for an appointment from a referral I felt so comfortable & all of the staff made me feel like family, I would say that this is one of the main reasons I love this salon. This salon is truly your "One Stop Salon Shop" they have everything from nail/makeup/hair stylists, massage therapists, Zap teeth whitening, permanent makeup, weight loss & even Tattoo removal! They have so many things I can't remember them all. I had permanent eyeliner done by Donna who has many years of experience & I wasn't nervous @ all in fact I was at ease due to the atmosphere of this Salon. I have to say that she is FABULOUS & I highly recomend her, I am so happy with the results & would do it again if I had to. I also have had the Zap teeth whitening done & I have tried many other ways to whitten my teeth & this by far is the way to go. It doesn't hurt your gums like the Dentist gels & it only takes 20 minutes at an awesome price. As I said in the begining, I don't know why anyone would go anywhere else, this is the only Salon & Spa you will ever go to, once you step inside! This is my Salon for life! I have a pedi scheduled & a hair cut too! The stylists ROCK & the whole staff are so sweet & kind & really make you feel comfortable & at home! Look NO More !!! 4/8/2010

I've been to more hairdressers than I care to admit looking for someone who could give me the blonde I wanted. I have had some of the worst experiences trying to find someone who knew how to work with my thick head of curls and naturally dark hair. From chemical hair cuts, to mismatched tones, and bright orange to unwanted brassy spots! STOP WASTING TIME and GO SEE CHAR !!! She listened to what I wanted, (and was patient through my ramblings of what I'd experienced) she was quick (I have a LOT of hair) I didn't sit under a dryer for hours, (she knew exactly what levels to put where so it all was even) she lifted me perfectly the 1st time, (she even fixed some of the red from the last girl who tried) and this is a first for me....she didn't have to tone it either! She would have if I wanted, but there was no need. She is amazing! Usually, the next day after my hair is colored, my curls are all frizzy and a mess for a day or two until they get back in their groove....but because she was careful to put color only where needed, my hair wasn't dried out and frazzled today! Thank you Thank you Thank you Char !! Pros: Experience, Parking, Flexibility Cons: I didn't find her sooner !!! more

Donna is an artist when it comes to eyebrows. Now that she has designed my arches, I'll never go to another salon. All of the staff at the Grand Salon Spa are incredibly friendly & professional. This salon is immaculate & tastefully decorated. Treat yourself... it is so worth it! more

I manned up and got a flawless eyebrow wax (and a haircut) 2/16/2010

At the behest of my better half I set an appt for a 'brow wax' and a new doo. Received immediate service and I must say I am pleased with the results. Who knew a little brow maintenance could improve the way the guy in the mirror looks. ;) I believe the woman's name was Donna and I couldn't stop telling her THANK YOU! I was then led directly to the hair chair. Paul was it? Or Josh? lordy i'm awful with names. At any rate without too much explaining Josh/Paul gave me a speedy new hairdoo that was exactly what I was looking for. Have to say I'm more pleased w/ this cut than I've ever been after gettin it done at my usual spot. Thanks again Grand staff! Oh and FYI to guys out there, these folks really know how to treat a guy. Eyebrows 11/30/2009

I have always been a chicken when it comes to needles. Donna made me feel comfortable from the moment I spoke to her on the phone. My friends and family can't believe I got my eyebrows cosmetically tattooed. It's wonderful and looks so natural that some did not even notice until I told them. Everyone there is friendly and helpful. I would recommend them to anyone wanting this prcedure. Pros: Donna was the best. True professional more

June gives an amazing haircut! 10/6/2009

I am very picky about my hair,and was a beautician in my former career. I have an inverted bob that nobody could seem to get right in the past. I scheduled an appt with June and was amazed at what a great cut she gives, she didn't have to use thinning shears, razor, anything except for her regular shears to cut my hair. She has amazing skills and I would highly recomend her to anyone looking for a fun and sassy style. This woman really knows what she is doing when it comes to hair. You will not be dissappointed! Donna at The Grand Salon Spa knows skin care. The atmosphere is relaxing and professional. The treatments and products offered will remind your muscles to do what they are supposed to do and your collagen pillows will plump up just like they did when you were in your twenties! All without surgery or injections!!! For my hair needs Juneka and Stacey are the BEST...they are artists in cut, color, extensions and overall hair care. I have been seeing Donna for about 4 and a half years now, and every time I get closer to my brow waxing, I can't wait. Everyone comments on how nice my brows are. (Thank you Donna!) The Grand Salon is a very relaxing environment and all the staff is so nice. I have also gotten pedicures there as well. I used to hate pedicures, but now I'm hooked! Thank goodness there is finally a beautiful full service salon and spa in Beaverton. I will be a regular visitor. Thank you for this new local business, I wish I would have thought of it. I no longer have to go down town, fight the traffic then pay for parking. Thank you very much. A 'Grand" place 2/27/2009

I have been seeing Donna for several years for brow axing and decided to get IPL on my underarms. After 1 treatment I noticed a difference!. Definitely not what I excpected. It far exceeded my expectations. I have had 2 treatments so far and am very pleased with the results. The environment is so restful and the staff is always pleasant and professional. I highly recommend The Grand Salon Spa. more
