At 9:00pm the guests line up to enter the building. They put their name on a list then eat a nutritious meal prepared by volunteers from one of a group of multi-denominational ministries from the area. The desk workers call the local shelters and find beds for these men and women, so they are not shuffling all over town looking for a place for the night. They are given a b us ticket to get to the shelter, and are off into the night. It protects the public from harm, provides beds to the needy, and nutritious meals donated food banks, churches & by generous volunteers. To call this place a scam is someone who doesn't understand what we do, shame on you for your review. Volunteer here for a year and get to know these people, it is nothing like you describe. Without this service, many of these people would be dead or living in doorways. Which would you prefer?
