One Hour more than met my expectations. I was very pleased with them when my system needed repairs and they were able to make an immediate appointment the next day. They were very patient with my concerns through the entire process. When the installers arrived they were prepared for the job and made sure everything was completed to perfection, they also had another employee to inspect before the installers even left. I am very pleased that I was recommended to One Hour and will use them for all my Hvac needs. more

My wife and I were very pleased with your service and we look forward to an ongoing relationship with your organization. When I made my first call on the weekend I anticipated talking to a part-time rookie and I ended up with a gentleman who was an OUTSTANDING professional and asked all the right questions. I was ready to sign up right at that time. The next day Dean Sibrans arrived and again we were impressed. He had a very pleasant manner about him and was again very professional. He made a very positive impression on us. We were also pleased we could get an installation of Friday as we had company from Texas arriving on Saturday. On Friday Ariel Diaz and Charles Ivey arrived and again were very professional. It was extremely hot in our attic and I felt so sorry for them. Mr. Ivey began cramping and had to cut back some, but Mr. Diaz filled the void and went above and beyond the call of duty getting our installation completed. He was OUTSTANDING. For 9 years I headed Shell Oil's Nationwide Customer Service organization in Tulsa, Oklahoma. I get very excited when I encounter an organization such as yours. I will be recommending you to my friends and neighbors. more

Integrity of the technician. I had a potential warranty issue but it was not cut and dry as to whether it was covered or not. The technician, Eric, studied the purchase proposal form 2 years ago and pointed out in the “fine print” wording which showed the issue was indeed under warranty therefore to my advantage. I plan to point out this honesty to people I come in contact with regarding heat pumps and recommend One Hour Air. more

Having worked as a Lighting Designer (with an engineering background) and collaborating with contractors and supervising technicians on a daily basis, I tend to ask a LOT of questions and am no easily impressed. Upon meeting your tech Jim, I was amazed to come across someone of this caliber ‘working in the field’. In other professions he would hold a position equivalent to a Senior Design Engineer. Obviously he has years of practical ‘hands on experience’ to draw form. This is augmented by a wealth of technical knowledge and common sense in regards to problem solving. Additionally he has very effective communication skills which allow him to clearly explain technical issues on terms that are completely understandable to the client, whether that person is technically sophisticated or not. In combination, all of these attributes result in someone representing your organization that is well schooled in technical details as well as extremely proficient at what he does. Your customers have a feeling that Jim is doing everything possible to remedy the situation, while at all times making a priority of placing their best interests at the forefront. As per the requirements of his job he is a brilliant technician while also simultaneously acting as a most effective customer service representative for your company. I cannot offer higher praise for anyone within the technical service industry. more

My wife Wendy and I moved to Charlotte from New York City five years ago and upon the recommendation of several of our neighbors, became 'Comfort Club' members. Earlier this year we purchased a tankless water heater and Harmony filtration system from you and subsequently became members of the 'Ben Society'. \r From our initial encounter with your field technician (which was, at the time Eric) it was immediately apparent that you have some extraordinarily talented people working in the field. This remained true for all the individuals that we have since encountered - in particular Robert who performed our annual inspections for the past several years, before leaving your employ. We just had a new furnace and air conditioning unit installed (yes it's been an expensive year) which subsequently had an issue. The Freon pressure was causing a loud noise each time the input-output pipes restabilized themselves. Attempting to rectify this, we got reacquainted with Eric who walked in the door expecting to merely inspect the installation. Little did he know that he'd be back several times and spend many hours troubleshooting this problem. His expertise, vast practical experience and the ability to explain things with clarity make him an extraordinary asset to your organization. \r more

They are a very good company to deal with. From the sales rep Ernie Rodriguez who was very understanding, & patient to the installers Brian & Keith. I can only say they were very fair in their prices, explained the Seers, Two-Stage vs One Stage Units, etc. We had both the furnace & a/c replaced at the same time. We were provided with wonderful service. Not only did they complete the job, they protected and covered the furniture, hallway carpet & worked with diligence. The supervisors came out also during the process to inspect the job & make sure that everything ran smoothly. I can't say enough positive things about them. Even the county inspector who came out afterwards & the electrician also did a fabulous job! We were more than pleased. Despite the other reviews here, check them out for yourself. Their pricing was not as high as Brothers & Morris Jenkins. Price is not everything, but having the right relationship with the company means a lot. We will continue to be loyal customers. They were totally awesome. more

The company is difficult to do business with. They misdiagnosed a problem with our HVAC system first, then repaired what did not need to be repaired. They were willing to give me a refund, but only if I bought new HVAC system from them. I have also been attempting to cancel their monthly maintenance plan I subscribed to. It has been three months now, but I'm still being charged the monthly fee. I have sent a letter to the owner and email to their headquarters. It has been ignored. I was able to get hold of a lady in the office who was rude to me. I wouldn't recommend this company. There are plenty of others with a better reputation out there. more

DON'T DO IT. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY. PLEASE BE AWARE THAT THIS IS THE SAME COMPANY AS DAN KING, I wish I had noticed that they were the same company because I saw the poor reviews and vowed never to use Dan King only to find out One Hour and Dan King is the same company. I going to contact the Better Business Bureau and so should you if you've already used them because I'm sure they over charged you too. more

Too Expensive, Typical Contractor Jacking Price Up For 11/11/2011

Very Expensive, unreasonably so. They quoted us a really high price on a simple repair, and then also tried to tell us that an additional repair was needed when it really was not. We have out of town family in the Heating/AC business and we had them speak with the technician, once he realized we knew what we were talking about they tried to drop the price a little and then admitted that they suggested a procedure that wasn't necessary. What would've cost us $580 with Dan King cost us $200 elsewhere. We felt like they were ripping us off until they realized we had some Heating/AC experience on our side. Typical behavior for a contractor of a a special trade, assuming they can charge people more b/c they won't know any different. Highly disappointed with this company. more

Be carefull 9/9/2011

I used Dan King One Hour for several years, then I got wise. On the last visit, I was out of town and the mechanic told my wife that our gas heater was broken and we were pumping CO2 into the house and it could hurt us. He even showed he a video of the internal furnace with holes in it where the CO2 would escape. When I cam home, they visited me and showed me the video and I got suspicious. I found another contractor who came in to check it. He let me look through a scope into the furnace and we did not see any holes. He said it was in perfect shape. He also said if it did have leaks, the system would shut down automatically. more

Awesome Service 1/25/2011

I have had Dan King's One Hour Heating and Air out to my home on several occasions. I am a huge fan of both Dennis and Jim. They are very knowledgeable and honest. I don't think they would ever recommend something that I didn't need. I have developed a real trust with their company. They are always friendly, polite, and professional. They have replaced my whole downstairs system and as soon as my upstairs system goes out I am going to have them replace that one as well. more

Please Don't use these people 9/22/2010

I used them to replace my old unit. As in the review before me thier sale team made promises that the installed team didn't keep. Unit spec were not sufficient to cool my house. They just seem to run wiring where ever it was easy. it was a nightmare. They never replace the door into my attic that was removed for installation. Please do NOT use the people! more

Tried to rip us off!!!! 3/8/2010

We called one hour heating and air after our furnance broke. They sent a technician out. And after only 10 minutes of checking our unit and us telling him we thought our inside unit was the one that broke. He told us that our compressor was bad and it would cost us $2,000 but they had a special going on that if you bought an outside unit you get an inside unit for free this was going to cost us $5,000 to $6,000. Pros: Free service call coupon Cons: Tried to rip me off!! more

Very expensive & under delivered on service 4/28/2008

Sales Team indicated that duct work would be included in the installation, but after paying for the new unit I was told that would be a very large additional cost.\r \r Unit specifications were not sufficient to properly take care of my home size.\r \r After installation, which did not include thermostat (should have)...the thermostat broke & I had to then pay for a new thermostat. \r \r When ispector came out, he busted one of the wires & when I called to have that situation taken care of, Dan King charged me once again for the service call, even though they actually broke the wire.\r \r I would seriously recommend going elsewhere if you'd like Heating/Air work done in your home.\r \r Charlotte Resident (posted in April of 2008). Pros: They respond fairly quickly to service calls, but that's in-line with all others. Cons: Over priced products & service, and quality of service is sub-par. more
