Great New Addition to Washington Ave Area 1/12/2010

I have stopped in twice to Absolve. It is a really cool place and very tastefully done on the inside. The vibe is really cool and laid back for a wine bar. Everyone in our party had a good time including those who drink beer (good bottled beer selection). Crowd was well dressed, but not pretentious. We tried the cheese plate, and it was one of the best ones I have had in the area. Wine selection was extensive and moderately priced. We will definitely be going back. Pros: Great Happy Hour , Nice Interior, Free Parking, Wine List Cons: None noticed yet..... more

The Gallery features art primarily from Nigeria and West Africa, our wine bar features wine from various wine producing regions in the United States, the Old World, and the New World, with a particular emphasis on the emerging grape growing regions in South Africa. Conveniently located in the Shops at Memorial Heights at the corner of Washington Avenue and Studemont Street in Houston Texas.
