WORST MOVERS EVER 6/23/2011

This is by far the worst moving company in san francisco. I didn't originally hire them---they were subcontracted for my move. They arrived at my house in SF and couldn't immediately find parking. HELLO IT'S SAN FRANCISCO!!! The movers yelled at me and then drove away and I was left without movers. Unfortunately, I could not communicate with the movers because they spoke no English.\r \r Honestly, they made my stressful moving day truly miserable. I do not know how they run their business but it's not good.\r \r \r DO NOT USE THIS MOVING COMPANY! more

The easiest move we have ever had! 7/31/2008

My husband and I hired Oasis Mover for our recent move. Three movers arrived on time. They brought their lunch and ate at our house. They called in advance and let us know the move in the morning took longer than expected. We didn't mind and appciated the heads' up. They were efficient, careful and polite. Pricing was reasonable, too. Thanks!!! more

Great Price and Excellent service 7/20/2008

I was wary of trying Oasis. I got three quotes and Oasis was the cheapest. I was worried I wouldn't get great service because they were the cheapest, but I was very, very happy with them. They were on time, confirmed with me via phone and email and were easy to contact. They also were incredibly fast and treated me very courteously. They brought an extra guy at no extra cost and treated my stuff carefully. I've had some really unethical/incompetent movers in the past, so it was refreshing to find a moving company that gave great service at a very reasonable price. I'm recommending Oasis to all.\r \r Pros: Great price and wonderful service more

Good Moving Experience 3/14/2008

I couldn?t ask for anything more in a moving company. They were quite efficient, on time, and were well worth the price. They were careful during the move, well prepared and were well in communication with me through out the entire process. I had a last minute request that they handled with professional ease. I got super luck with them! I can't wait to find a reason to use them again. It was a breeze! Thanks to Oasis for making my move easy and uncomplicated.\r \r \r more

Owners' Words 3/12/2008

I am the owner of Oasis Moving Company, which is located in San Francisco. We are doing the moving business in California statewide under the permit of California Public Utilities Commission. Our license number is CPUC T - 190133. We never moved anybody from Arizona to California. The reviewer (pranav4879) must be wrong mixing up our company with others who has similar name. That is unfair. more

very very bad 2/27/2008

I moved from Arizona to California \r i had a very Bad experience with Oasis Moving\r 1. atlest add 500 to 600 dollars more to the base price which they quote (in my case it was 1300)\r 2.they promise you 1-7 days of delivery , which never happened i had to call almost every day to get my stuff \r 3. quite a few of my things were broken , the movers that were unloading the stuff were literally dropping boxes. my TV is broken , TV stand feel so bad , that all its wheels were broken.\r \r i see good reviews about this company for in-state moves , but if your doing out of state move , i highly recommend not using them. more

Movers 5/14/2007

Unlike the previous entry, I would not recommend this moving company. I got a lower hourly rate, but I was only moving within the city (a few blocks) and had very few belongings. The place I moved into required going up 3 flights of stairs, but the move took less than 1.5 hours (but paid for 2 full hours because there's a two hour minimum). The movers were on time, relatively efficient, but were hasty, rough with my belongings, and started to grunt and sigh loudly after an hour of work. I found this rude and annoying (not to mention dramatic), as this is their job, and should not be complaining in front of their customer. Unlike the other reviewer, they did not lay out carpets for their dolly and made marks on my carpet. The worst part is: after they were done, I asked for the bill, and I graciously added a 20% tip (and keep in mind these I'm paying for the half hour they didn't work). The mover said to me, ""we work hard, add a little more."" I gave him a look of, ""who do you think I am?"" I own very few things and obviously live a student lifestyle. Since I'm a young woman, I decided not to upset or argue with the two strong movers and asked how much would make him happy. He asked for an additional $20. I sucked it up and threw in the extra $20. Twenty dollars isn't a big deal in the grand scheme of things, and a small price to pay for my peace of mind, but I found this unprofessional, rude and just plain unacceptable. Anyway, even with the 38% tip, it was still a good deal, and the total price is competitive with other companies. If you want low cost, don't have valuable stuff, then it's fine to go with Oasis. However, for principle sake, I will not use them again. I'd rather pay a premium for another company that is more professional. Pros: Cheap, relatively efficient Cons: Rude workers that have trouble communicating, unprofessional more
