Having been to many massage therapists, chiropractors, deep tissue and trigger point therapists...the list goes on, it is refreshing to find a massage therapist that doesn't have a "one size fits all" approach. Is my hour on the table going to help me feel better long-term, or just feel good for the hour?
I have visited Brian twice now and can whole-heartedly say that he is the one of the most patient-focused therapists I have visited. When you arrive, he spends time (but not TOO much time) checking in and finding out what is going on with you and your aches and pains. And then he plans the hour around making those aches and pains better. He is concerned with your comfort and privacy - I have never felt uncomfortable or "exposed" when being treated by him. He is a pro with the sheet and keeps you feeling relaxed and not on edge about being exposed to the world.
One final note - Brian is very spiritually centered and takes his clients spiritual needs into consideration as well. Again, if that's not your bag, he's not going to make you feel like to tumbled into a meditation center, but he does want to make sure that, for those patients who are seeking that level of massage, he is definitely one that respects that and encourages massage for spiritual as well as physical well-being.
I highly recommend Om Massage and have made Brian "my massage therapist" in Houston!
Pros: Patient focused, relaxing, spiritually and physically beneficial, VERY clean
Cons: It is a bit difficult to find the first time - it is a "business in a house" on West Gray.
