personalized service 8/15/2007

I was lucky. Found Brian on some search engine and took a chance on him. Glad I did. He's extremely professional and really cares about his work. His massages aren't for people who want wine & cheese with their massage. If you've got pain, he will find it and work it out. His prices are reasonable and his place is quiet. He knows anatomy/physiology and uses it to his advantage. Give him a try. Pros: skill, service more

SUPERB MASSAGE! 6/15/2007

What can I say? Brian Bogolea breaks out of the mythological 'weirdness' of the massage world by providing exemplary service, superb technique and an incredible massage. For years, I looked for a licensed massage therapist - not someone listed in the back of a magazine. Brian's education, coupled with his understanding of physical fitness and muscu-skeletal anatomy makes him one of Houston's premier massage therapists, if not the best. His service is professional. His technique is varied and the massage is fantastic. I would certainly invite anyone who has never received a real massage to call Brian and schedule a session. When someone comes along who breaks the mold of the stereotypical massage therapist in such a way by providing excellent customer service with a tried-and-true technique in a professional environment, I would suggest you call Brian and schedule a one-hour session with him. You will see why he is establishing himself as one of the premier LMT's in the city of Houston. (He is the official massage therapist for my clients!) And, of course, the price cannot be beat either! -Michael W. (Mick) Stewart CPT BST (Personal Trainer) Pros: Professionalism, technique, +++++ Price! more

Massage therapy at its best 3/20/2007

I can sum up Brian's massage techniques with one word: healing. Although you can get a "fluff" massage, which will be very relaxing, Brian specializes in treating those tight and sore areas that we all have. Sitting at a desk in front of a computer all day tends to tighten my muscles along my shoulders, upper back and neck. Brian targets those areas with a variety of techniques and even discusses different stretches you can perform in between massages. Even when he targets one area, you still come out feeling great across your entire body. Brian listens to his clients and works with them on a plan that gives you exactly what you want out of massage. If you are looking for a massage therapist that works with you for the long-term, OM Massage is it. Pros: Great skill, works with you on a long-term plan, great price more

Massage that fits YOU and your specific needs 3/20/2007

Having been to many massage therapists, chiropractors, deep tissue and trigger point therapists...the list goes on, it is refreshing to find a massage therapist that doesn't have a "one size fits all" approach. Is my hour on the table going to help me feel better long-term, or just feel good for the hour? I have visited Brian twice now and can whole-heartedly say that he is the one of the most patient-focused therapists I have visited. When you arrive, he spends time (but not TOO much time) checking in and finding out what is going on with you and your aches and pains. And then he plans the hour around making those aches and pains better. He is concerned with your comfort and privacy - I have never felt uncomfortable or "exposed" when being treated by him. He is a pro with the sheet and keeps you feeling relaxed and not on edge about being exposed to the world. One final note - Brian is very spiritually centered and takes his clients spiritual needs into consideration as well. Again, if that's not your bag, he's not going to make you feel like to tumbled into a meditation center, but he does want to make sure that, for those patients who are seeking that level of massage, he is definitely one that respects that and encourages massage for spiritual as well as physical well-being. I highly recommend Om Massage and have made Brian "my massage therapist" in Houston! Pros: Patient focused, relaxing, spiritually and physically beneficial, VERY clean Cons: It is a bit difficult to find the first time - it is a "business in a house" on West Gray. more
