I was so excited when I found this gym just 2 blocks from my house. Having just moved to Raleigh, I was happy to find a locally owned gym and was even happier to see how beautiful it was (it's obvious why the fees are high). If you're looking for this type of gym and don't mind paying for it, it's awesome. The counter staff seemed really nice. My biggest "bummers" other than the cost were they don't give you any orientation of any sort with your trial (to me, that's just polite to show new people how to use your fancy stuff) and the class schedules were terribly inconvenient times FOR ME. Pros: Fantastic Equipment, fancy, nice staff, gorgeous facilities Cons: way too expensive, no orientation, classes so-so more

this is a great gym. it's clean and there are good choices for classes. i especially like the yoga classes on the weekend. the instructors are great, especially melyssa, conni, and tara. Pros: classes, location, atmosphere Cons: needs more yoga more

i love seaboard fitness. i have been a member for almost a year and definitely don't regret it. i like to take advantage of the group fitness classes like cardio conditioning, spin, and yoga, but the equipment is great too. it has a comfortable atmosphere that is clean, friendly, and not intimidating. the instructors are great and staff is helpful and friendly. i particularly like that it is small and conveniently located. i highly recommend this gym. Pros: atmosphere, classes, staff Cons: some classes aren't that fun for me, but are probably fine for others more

Poor management. Counter staff friendly and helpful, but manager more like a used car salesman. After specifically requesting multiple times from several employees if our trial membership could be extended if we were going out of the country, we were repeatedly told yes after they checked. Since this was the case, we went ahead and signed up for three months. After returning the manager Sandor regretted to inform us that he was not honoring what we were told. We would not have signed up for three months only to use 1/2 of that due to foreign travel. He also acted unaware that we could sign up for month to month memberships at a higher rate which we were also told. Losing two members for at least a year to to not honoring the word of employees in order to save 1 month fees. Shady practices. Pros: Newish equipment Cons: No pool. Poor management. Only one location. more

This gym is amazing! I love the atmosphere and that they offer what no other gyms does. I would certainly call Seaboard....the best of the best! Pros: equipment, location, ambience Cons: parking limited at times more
