My daughter's car needed four new tires and NTB was $200 less expensive than my regular mechanic. Money is tight these days, so I took a chance. Huge mistake. The day after the tires were installed, my daughter experienced severe problems with her steering. She took it back to NTB and - low & behold - a $60 part had suddenly 'gone bad' and needed replacing. Sixty bucks - not too bad - but, wait! There's more! Add $200 in labor. Lesson learned. I'll never again take my car to anyone other than my trusted mechanics at Choice Auto in Raleigh. Trust me, pay the extra up front and avoid the NTB scam. more

Absolutely horrible. Initial service was OK, but they damagers my car on the lift. This happened in August and here it is the middle of December. I have gotten a 31/2 month runaround about getting it repaired and how they would poay for it. As of now, it has been fixed and the body shop won't release it until it's paid for. They are giving me the same lines about "cutting a check" tha i have heard since the summer. Neither the store manager nor the area manager had any real interest in resolving the damage they did to my car, wouldn't return calls etc. even after calls to the customer service center. Avoid them like the plague. more

The first time I went to this NTB was a year ago, I simply took my car in for an oil change, had a coupon that included a "free inspection" it turns out that according to this place my Toyota corolla 05 with 42,000 miles needed new front brakes and other stuff worth $500.00- I was very naive and decided to trust them and had them do the job- they also included a 2 year warranty on the breaks and break pads. Well 3 weeks ago I took my car in b/c my brakes were making a squeaky noise & thought maybe there was something wrong with the breaks. So NTB tells me the rotors needed "machined" and breaks were fine. 2 days later my breaks were still squeaky and took it back and then they said i needed new rotors and that after that they would put in new break pads- oh yeah of course my "warranty" didn't cover rotors and they would charge me almost $200.00 for 2. I told them I didn't understand why 3 weeks before they had just machined the rotors and now I needed new ones replaced??!!! I told them I was taking my car to my mechanic which I found after going to this place. Took it to my favorite trust worthy "Murray's Tires" and they told me my rotors were fine and if anything I needed new break pads & that would help with the squeaky noise. Murray's told me that they didn't see anything wrong with my rotors and it would be a waste of money to replace them. So for the 3rd time that same day I took my car back to these fools and told them what my mechanic said- they were so upset and inssisted on new rotors I told them no, just break pads and then with the worse attitude they said "fine, but if we do just the break pads with out replacing the rotors, you will have a bunch of issues with your car and we'll void your warranty"- I said fine. I asked them to also replace my air filter since they had suggested it earlier and I knew I needed it. 45 minutes later I go pick up my car (4th trip this time) and they tell me that they didn't have any air filters and that I should ask my mechanic to replace it for me- all smart- ass about it!! I got my keys and left that god- forsaken place! Never again!! Waisted my entire Saturday dealing with their B.S! All they wanted was $200.00 to have something replaced that my honest mechanic said wasn't necessary. Now b/c I feel they were upset they most likely did half-assed job I will take it to Murray's and have them check it out for me b/c I don't trust them. Check out "Murray's Tires" in Raleigh- their reviews here are outstanding! They are honest, caring people! Oh yeah ever since the pads were replaced no more squeaky sounds!
