Worst

I wanted to check out some cosmetic procedures by one of their dermatologists, but they have a nurse who covers all of that...the problem is that they refer to her as Dr. Loresten...

Abusive charges 5/14/2010

They are a rip off, $200 dollars for the removal of 2 benign lesions with liquid nitrogen?? Come on! more

Biopsy Scar 10/9/2009

Beware biopsy that takes a large round plug of skin out . . . this must be a time saver for the Dr. - But I now have a scar on my arm that is a deep puncture with pulled skin circling it. Looks like I have a navel on my arm. Why wasn't I warned about this and why wasn't I given the option of a straight incision that would not have left this pucker? I have a call in to his office. I'll report back after I speak to him. more

sketchy, money-minded 10/6/2009

I am an elderly patient and I deeply regret visiting the northwest skin specialists clinic. Grabowski is a waste. more

Irresponsible 6/9/2009

This group neglected to inform me that my insurance was not accepted until I found the bill in the mail. I was even told by the receptionist that my insurance was compatible while it actually wasn't. When I did see the doctor, I was only referred elsewhere. Northwest Skin Specialists was an expensive waste of time. more

Excellent, attentive care. 5/6/2009

The support and empathy of the nurses here are wonderful. You get calls back and problems taken care of quickly. Dr. Grabowski has done a good job treating excema that became a staph infection. I have found him attentive and very competent. more

This place is a scam 4/30/2009

This is the kind of place that tarnishes the whole medical profession. Hey Grabowski: "You have a duty to heal people - not just MAKING MONEY." My visit was very quick - with more time spent with the nurse rather than the physician. The diagnosis was nothing more that what I had already read on the net. The treatment was an injection. The bill to my insurance was $650. FOR FIVE MINUTES!!! Makes my stomach curl. more

For compassionate, skilled care look no further. 3/10/2009

The skin cancer diagnoses, surgical care and bed side manner of Dr. Grabowski have impressed me from the start. He took the time to listen to my concerns and his surgical care was delightfully pain-free due to his skilled numbing procedures. All in all a stress free experience from what I imagine could've been a very different outcome in less capable and compassionate hands. more

Grabowski a big disappointment 11/21/2008

VERY disappointed with care provided by Dr. Grabowski. Did not properly diagnose eczema; did not offer even topical anesthesia for laser removal; missed pre cancerous spot on mole check. more

They're a little sketchy...if you ask me 6/4/2007

I wanted to check out some cosmetic procedures by one of their dermatologists, but they have a nurse who covers all of that...the problem is that they refer to her as Dr. Loresten, which she is not. They also charge $75 for a consult (this fee can be applied to first procedure). A friend told me to go to a different dermatologist; I will be getting a free consult and I'll be treated by an M.D. more

This dermatologist has a heart 9/7/2006

The unsightly skin tag ballooning on the margin of my right eyelid and the yellowish cyst on the left eyelid made me feel hopelessly unattractive, as if the natural aging of my 65-year-old face isn’t enough to look at in the mirror. The skin tag in particular was slightly irritating and itching between my lashes. I worried it could only get worse - and bigger! As a freelance writer who often interviews VIPs I thought it looked repulsive and how would that affect my professional appearance? Coming from Florida to Seattle I had no idea whom to consult. I found the impressive web site about the Northwest Skin Specialists (NSC) and made an appointment with their highly credentialed dermatologist. I had some reservations. Surely this would be a swanky clinic for the rich seeking cosmetic surgery and their services not at all affordable, but still I wanted the best doctors available because I was sure the removal would be difficult. My irrational fear of having a skin tag removed from my eyelid so close to the eyeball produced a restless sleep the night before my appointment. I have two phobias. One is riding roller coasters. The other is going to an optometrist. I get the jitters when eye drops or any foreign object makes contact with my retina. That is why I don’t wear contacts even though they are preferable to glasses. I have trudged through the wild swamps of the Everglades; have encountered snakes and alligators; have performed on a stage in front of 2000 people; been up close to wild buffalo and rodeo bulls, but I was much more nervous waiting to see Dr. Richard Grabowski at the Northwest Skin Clinic than any of these adventures. When he entered the room I told him immediately I was scared. I can’t tell you enough how kind he was, and understanding. To my relief he quickly and calmly performed the necessary procedures to remove the growths. He carefully explained what he was doing as he worked and for that I could have kissed him! He reminded me of my sons; he is so youthful and smart and thoughtful, just like my own two about the same age. Everyone on the staff at NSC –from the receptionists to the medical assistants - were also very thoughtful and friendly. I didn’t feel out of place but welcomed despite being a struggling writer with no insurance, only my Medicare. Should I become a famous writer and interviewed by Oprah or C-Span’s Book TV, then I will go back to this clinic to get my face to look as youthful as I feel. I am very confident in the exceptional skills and knowledge of Dr. Richard Grabowski, and if you are looking for the same, this is the doctor I recommend. more
