Appointment Made 3/26/2014

Called on a Friday and scheduled an appt for the following Tuesday for issues involving acceleration and a routine oil change/tire rotation. Tuesday appt came and I explained my concerns to the svc attendant. I stated that I would be wiating and explicitly asked to be notified after their initial inspection what they found out regarding the acceleration issues. I stated that I may want to go ahead with further maintenance (fuel filter, transmission fluid, etc.) After an hour's wait, the attendant came to me and said, "You're all ready to go! They drove the vehicle and didn't find anything wrong. If you want a tranmission flush we can get it won't be done until 2 PM." (at this point it was 11 AM) What is the purpose of calling to schedule a time to have the vehicle looked at and then told you'll have to wait 3 mores hours to have work completed? ...let alone not being consulted after an initial inspection. I have been to this dealership svc dept many times and this was the first time I've experienced lack of customer svc like this. Disappointing. more

The service staff has always been very friendly and has taken very good care of us. Phil is great, he keeps me informed about what is going on with my vehicle at all times and calls when it is ready. Northtowne Body Shop 2/19/2014

Never use this group for body work after a wreck. The mechanics are fine at the Hyundai dealership, but the body shop assistant is flat rude and called me a liar when clearly, the damage caused by their repairs came from them. I had to take my car back once because they did not paint the door handles which were damaged in the wreck. They did not put on the door bumper guards like the ones on the other side of the car. They left a greasy handprint under the clearcoat so the car had to be taken back in for that repair. They scratched the roof taking the rubber molding off the car. They gouged paint out of the hood removing the front fender. They put the COMPLETELY WRONG door trim on the car. They broke the handle on the side of the drivers seat to move it forward and back. To top it off, less than 10 months after the body repairs, I had to take it in AGAIN to be repainted because the paint was bubbling from incorrect prep work. When it was picked up they STILL had not buffed out the damage done to the top of the car initially. more

The mechanics falsely suggest work that needs completed to fix your vehicle. One mechanic stated that my engine was misfiring due to old spark plugs, my spark plugs were replaced at another auto shop only 10,000 miles prior to the inspection. more

Hyundai Customer Service states do not trust the Service Advisors 2/5/2014

I was told in 2 different conversations that the control arm would be replaced. This is a recall issue. Service stated they were not looking at them, only replacing. 2nd time was when I need to replace the leaking power steering rack prior to the control arm being replaced. This was per the technician and service advisor. The manager could not recall the phone conversation we had when I was questioning the recalls. Control arm was not replaced. Service advisor and Manager was not helpful to resolve the issue. I was not able to submit this without a star rating, I would truly not give a star. more
