Northgate Smiles

Northgate Smiles is the best dentist I've ever been to. I needed a root canal and they got me in ASAP and where super friendly and welcoming. It's also worth noting that it was my most comfortable experience inside the dentist seat. I really didn't feel much of anything. more

The best dental experience ever. First off, everyone in the office is very nice and helpful, which goes a long way. As far as the actual dentistry, they explain everything in depth, make sure you're comfortable at every step of the way, and they even hide the needle until the last second. They really try to make it as comfortable an experience as possible. Thanks, guys! more

I went to the Dentist after several years of no professional cleanings. They were very patient and explained everything they were doing, making it a very relaxing appointment. I really appreciated their technology and up to date equipment. They gave me multiple options for treatment and my teeth look great! My hygienist Tammy was especially great and easy to talk to throughout the entire cleaning! more

I have always hated going to the dentist and have had a few bad experiences that prevented me from going for a long time. The staff and doctors at Northgate Smiles made me feel welcomed and at ease. At other offices, I have often felt tricked into doing procedures that were not essential or I was made to feel embarrassed – but that was not the case at Northgate Smiles! I have been a patient of Dr. Aylen’s dental practice for more than three years. Her staff is always very warm, welcoming and accommodating. Dr. Aylen and her staff have worked with me for my general dental needs including veneers and also partnered with my orthodontist throughout my adult orthodontia treatment to ensure my teeth remained healthy throughout treatment. Dr. Aylen was very personable and welcoming. After my initial extensive exam, she went over my xrays and examined my teeth more closely and thoroughly. She explained different plans of attack for areas of focus and invited me into that decision making process. She answered questions and stayed quite a long time. She didn't seem rushed or stressed, which was quite calming for me. The office staff all got along with one another, which I think is amazing. They were very personable and easy to talk to. Not to mention my dental hygienist was amazing. She was friendly, gentle and attentive to my needs. My teeth felt smooth and glossy afterward. Northgate Smiles is awesome. I called on a Thursday trying to get an appointment ASAP b/c my insurance was going to run out and they were able to get me in by MONDAY. Awesome! They were so helpful too and willing to work with me as much as possible. I went in and did a checking and was able to get back in by the next day! Everyone's very friendly, Krystle the assistant is very friendly, always remembers everyone's name and the dentists are knowledgeable, friendly, and comforting. I had a really bad cavity and it HURT when they were drilling out the decay and as SOON as they saw discomfort they immediately stopped asked if I was okay and then gave me ANOTHER anasthesia injection for free of course. After that I didn't feel anything so I was super happy. The assistants, receptionist, and dentists are great I saw 2 different dentists and they were both great. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! :) more

Recently, I moved and was procrastinating on finding a new dentist. After reading several reviews, I decided to try out the Northgate Smiles office and see Dr. Aylen. I am very happy I did. Dental care is so very important, and needs to be taught, and given to everyone. I went without proper care for way too long. Today I feel so blessed because I met Dr. Karla Aylen. I cannot speak highly enough about Dr. Aylen and her staff. Everyone is very friendly, knows you by name and smiles at you when you walk through the door. I had a wonderful first time experience with everyone I encountered at Northgate Smiles. I laughed my way through the uncomfortable workup x-rays with a technician who made me feel so comfortable, despite all of the hardware and contraptions she had to put into my mouth. That was no easy task! The woman who cleaned my teeth was so gentle that it seemed to be over before I knew it had really even started. The best part is I didn't feel as if I were being judged for not having gone to the dentist in a long time. Dr. Aylen was so kind and informative of everything I have going on in my mouth. There are some things that are not your run of the mill issues...not because I put off going, but she explained all of my treatment options and took great care of me on her end! Quite simply the most amazing staff of dental professionals that I have ever had the opportunity to work with. The office staff is thoughtful, considerate, funny, real and above all comforting with any and all questions and concerns that I have. I've been a patient for over 4 years; I've seen them for routine cleanings, X-Rays, minor procedures, invisalign, and teeth whitening. I honestly can't imagine ever working with another group on such talented and caring individuals. more

I have been a patient of this office for nearly a year. I originally heard about the office from an online review who stated \r that the dentists were the best that they had ever been to. I hadn't been to the dentist for awhile and decided to give\r them a try. I needed to get my wisdom teeth taken out. The office staff were very friendly from the time I entered the \r office. The hygenist who took me back for my appointment put me at ease and was very attentive to my needs. Dr Aylen \r was very professional but had an amazing bedside manner. She made sure I was not in any pain and made sure to \r explain all of the procedures to me. The hygenists and dental assistants were amazing at making me feel comfortable and \r taken care of. Dr Aylen even called me that night at home to be sure I was doing okay and to see if I had any other \r questions. I have been to this office several times since then for a cleaning and to do some other minor work. For the \r cleaning and minor work, I saw Dr. Aluas. She was also very easy to talk with and very professional. She was very \r knowledgeable and made sure that I understood the procedures and the treatment plan. The office is very up to date with digital xrays, cable TV at each patient chair, and special cameras so the dentists can show patients what needs to be done at a close view. The front desk team make sure to work with you regarding your financial situation and your insurance. I would highly recommend this office to anyone needing a dental cleaning, wisdom teeth extraction or any other dental work. more

I've been a patient at Northgate Smiles for 3 years and they are always friendly, organized, and punctual. On all my visits they have taken me on time or even early right when I arrive. But if I do ever have to wait in the future, it wouldn't be that bad because Northgate Smiles has a very inviting waiting room with a great selection of magazines, water, coffee, and comfortable seats.\r Although, I generally see the dentist only every 6 months, Tammy, my dental hygenist, remembers me and we have fun conversations about family, sports, and other activities (although it's mostly one-sided with my mouth wide open, I share comments when I can). \r \r Northgate Smiles offers convenient times with 7 am early bird apptmts. Once I needed to reschedule and they were able to take me in within the next week. \r more

Northgate Smiles is awesome. Genetics gives me the opportunity to visit the dentist many times. I previously went to the same dentist my entire life and dreaded going to the dentist. Although the doctors and staff were very nice the service was not the same as I get at Northgate Smiles. Dr. Aylen and her staff are very friendly and good at what they do. They are quick and painless when it comes to office visits. The dentist is usually the last place I would ever want to go. However, the staff here is wonderful and makes it easy to get myself to go in. I don't stress out about going to the dentist anymore. I recommend Northgate Smiles to anyone in the Seattle area looking for a great dentist. more

I have been seeing Dr. Aylen at Northgate Smiles for a couple of years now, and I couldn’t be more pleased!\r Previous dental offices have told me my teeth are cracked from grinding and that I should consider getting veneers. At Northgate Smiles they let me know my teeth are just fine, although a little worn down from grinding, so I should consider a mouth guard – quite different from the price of veneers!\r When I first went to see Dr. Aylen, I needed an implant (crown), and it turned out my post is not a standard one, so needed a particular setting. She notified the lab making the implant about the non-standard post and arranged someone from the lab to come up during my exam to take a look. She made everything so easy for me.\r And finally, my dental hygienist Cindy is fantastic! She’s very easy to talk to and makes my cleaning seem to last no time at all, and my teeth feel great when she’s done.\r I highly recommend Northgate Smiles! more
