I decided to get my haircut at the salon at La Cantera. I brought in a picture of an angle bob that trimmed to gently encircle the neck. I asked for a bob haircut that has a horseshoe cut in the back with my hair angled in the front of my face. The pictures of the haircuts shown to the stylist were medium length haircuts (hair falling around the neck). I had shoulder length hair and came out the salon with a chin length bob. Evelyn, the stylist, did not cut the hair in the back to hug my neck. My hair was squared in the back and not rounded. The stylist tried to bob my hair with a flat iron to create the shape. Evelyn took the scissors and was bringing the layers high into the back of my head. My mother asked me if I wanted layer that high in the back of my head, and I said no. After I said no, the stylist stopped cutting the layers that high in back of my head. My mother grabs the picture on the counter to compare it to my haircut and noticed the stylist was creating a haircut I did not request. When my mother looked at the picture, the stylist started dropping the scissors, comb, and flat iron. Then she took the scissors and started snipping vertical layers from the bottom of my hair near my face. My mother noticed that Evelyn was not cutting a forward angle line near my face. She was making my hair look choppy and shorter. My mother asked me if I wanted vertical layers in my hair, and I said no. She had me faced away from the mirror while she cut my hair, which was a big mistake for me. The stylist then excused herself. She came back to tell me that another stylist would be finishing my haircut. My mother and I had to sit in the waiting area for about ten minutes for someone to finish the cut. I was sitting with a smock on with my clipped hair on the smock while waiting in the waiting area. My hair was left just the way the stylist left it after refusing to cut my hair. I felt like a public spectacle and not a value costumer. The stylist did not care how she treated the customer. Everybody was looking at me while the stylist took another client. The stylist walked down the hall to get the supplies for her next client. My mother asked Evelyn politely why she refused to cut my hair after we asked her not to put vertical layers in the hair in front of my face. She just smiled and told us that someone else would be finishing the cut. When the next stylist came to finish the cut, she asked me why my hair was parted with most of my hair on the right side of my head. I told her the stylist left my hair in that manner. Then the stylist had me part my own hair in a center part, and then she finished my haircut. I was unhappy with my haircut. The hair on my left side of my ear was shorter due to Evelyn cutting vertical layer that made the hair on the right side by my ear longer. I walked out the salon dissatisfied, because I did not get the haircut I requested. I told the receptionist that I was not happy with the service Evelyn provided. She was very unprofessional. The receptionist never asked me why I was unhappy with the service, and she did not ask me if I wanted to speak to the manager. They just let me walk out an unhappy customer. I cannot believe they wanted me to pay full price for the cut and take a picture of it to help the stylist cut my hair again like I was coming back. I never had a more horrible experience at a beauty salon. They never asked me what happen or cared how I felt. They believe everything the stylist said without listening to the customer side of the story. I never misbehaved in the salon; I just question how she cut my hair. She could not give me the haircut I requested and acted like I had the problem.
