Don't waste your time...or your money if your looking to throw a party! 4/20/2008

I've lived in northern liberties for a few years now and love the neighborhood bars. When I first learned that a bowling alley was going to setup shop on 2nd St, my friends and I thought it was going to be another cheezy ""Lucky Strike"", which is nothing more than a TGI Fridays with a few bowling lanes crammed in. Pros: good food, good drinks, nice atmosphere Cons: poor management, over-priced open bar/bowling more

North bowl takes the retro lounge style of bowling alley like lucky strike and pairs it with a more affordable time for food and drink as well as better quality. They only have about 20 lanes so make a reservation for you lane Cons: can be hard to get a lane with out a reservation more

Good old-fashioned fun 6/24/2007

Even waiting for a lane is fun. Grab a drink, shoot some pool, play some pinball and the time flies. Once you get to your lane, you're sure to be impressed by how nice it is. AND they have tons of bowlingballs - no more missed spares because the ball got stuck on your thumb. The cocktail servers have always been great, promptly bringing ice cold drinks and hot food. Snacking on tater tots (as for the dipping sauces, the cheese one is my favorite) and mini-cheeseburgers goes great with a beer, of which the selection far exceeds your standard bowling alley drafts. And don't forget to stop by the photobooth on your way out! Pros: tons to do, great service Cons: can get pretty pricy more
