Nomad Tavern

I live just a couple miles from the Nomad, and I've been coming there off-and-on for several years. One nice thing I've always liked about the place is the owners -- Big Larry and Little Larry -- always make you feel right at home, and the bar maids are always friendly. Beer's reasonably priced and always cold. I usually ride my bike there, but it isn't a Harley -- it's an old BMW. First time I rode it up there I thought I might be given a hard time. Heh, no way. Instead, a few of the other bikers came out and checked out my old Beemer and we chatted some about it. These guys aren't poseurs -- they're real. They ride not because of the brand but because they like to ride. 'Nuff said. See y'all there! I'm heading that way directly. :) more

So, upon first look I was a little scared to go into Nomad's. The Press talked it up as being ""one of the most real biker bars inside the beltway"" and went on about how rough it was and you shouldn't go there unless you're a biker... Idiots. more
