Noah's Ark Kennel and Cattery

My golden's have been groomed there for years. They are very nice and the owner has her dog and bird with her at the facility. My rescue golden has anxiety with a cage and thunderstorms. They are always sensitive to his needs and never fail to call me as soon as he is ready to be picked up. I don't like to drop my dog off early and pick him up late because of his anxiety. We moved here 6 years ago and I am glad they care about my dogs anxiety and also my anxiety with whom I leave my dog. more

I believe my cat contracted FeLV and Feline Herpes Virus while boarded here Thanksgiving of 2010. My 3 year old cat started acting sick a month after we boarded her here, she was tested and came back positive for FeLV. She was an indoor only cat who had no interaction with other cats for 1.5 years before her diagnosis, had been vaccinated against FeLV, and previously tested as negative for FeLV. She has also had upper respiratory issues after we boarded her, which our vet diagnosed as Feline Herpes Virus. She lived 5 months from when she was boarded here, rather than into her teens like she should have. Prior to my cat getting sick I would have, and did, recommend this cattery to others. more

Noah's Ark Kennel is the best! Ya know when you eat at a local restaurant and you love it SO MUCH you eat there every week, sometimes everyday? Noah's Ark is like that! I feel more comfortable that I ever thought I could about boarding my dogs when I leave them there, The staff is friendly and informative. They have so much love for my dogs when they come through the door. And my dogs love going! The owner doesn't mind if I call everyday to check on them and she always is so observant to what my dogs need/like. This kennel is top notch and a great small business to support! more

I'm a Canine Behaviorist and Training Specialist who has four dogs. I have never felt comfortable boarding my dogs, no matter how great the facility looked. That all changed when I boarded my dogs with Noah's Ark Kennel and Cattery. The staff is more than top of the line; they are caring, gentle and have a great deal of knowledge. It is the only place that you will find indoor outdoor kennels and of all the kennels I have ever seen, this one not only takes the cake, it bakes it too! When I had trouble finding my vaccination reccords, the owner stayed over 30 minutes past closing time to accomodate us without any sign of distress. We also ended up needing for them to kennel our dogs for a few extra days and it was no problem at all for them. During our entire trip we never once felt our usual feelings of insecurity or uncertainty that had been common with previous boarding facility's. We have always boarded with Vets or high end boarding but we just never felt completely comfortable. From both a Canine behaviorist's point of view and a dog parent; I observed that not only were the other dogs in the kennel in a state far far better than that of any other kennel I have been to, but the owner and staff were made up of the kind of people that truely care about our dogs and care about what they do. They are there for the dogs, and that showed from the very begining. When we went to pick up our dogs, we could tell they enjoyed themselves and we very well taken care of. My girlfriend, myself and our four dogs have Noah's Ark Kennel and Cattery as the number one kennel in all of North Carolina to take our dogs to. My girlfriend and I also give it our professional standard of approval and reccomendation as well. Thank you to all the staff at Noah's Ark Kennel and Cattery for taking such good care of our dogs and making us feel so welcome and secure in leaving our wonderful dogs with you all! My dog is my child, my hundred pound waggily child. No other kennel with prices like these has as much space for my big boy. He has his own outside area to go to when ever he wants. They also bathe and trim his nails, which for his size, is a lot of work. He always comes home happy and smelling good. Pros: in door- out door space for pets more
