Expect three times more than they quoted, they charged all hidden fees and refuse to unload your items until you're agreed on their new price! Stay away from any Baltimore Best Movers or Moving company. They are not a moving company and will send the worst moving company infront of your door step. If you see Abbey Road or Lions Van Lines, run!!! Shut your door! more

I read all these wonderful reviews of this company, I called and spoke to them at least 3 times and asked about any hidden costs and recompense for any damage, etc but then it came time for the move it was Dawn Moving company that showed up - NOT Baltimore Best Movers. I am leaving this review for Baltimore Best movers because when I called to complain about the fiasco of a move I was told that the two companies are the same. The entire move was one big disaster. I was working at the hospital and they had strict instructions to call my fiance about the move -- I got 5 phone calls in the space of about 20 minutes because the guys couldnt find that place; the 5 phone calls were 45 minutes after the agreed upon start time. When they got there they had none of the moving materials that we had been promised as part of our moving package had been brought- something I had confirmed over the phone 3 times before the move. Then they broke a ton of my stuff; my fiance literally watched a shelf fall off a precarious pile of our belongings as the mover was moving. The wardrobes that were finally produced at no bar in them so the mover took a piece of a collapsable laundry hamper to use as a bar without asking - needless to say the plastic piece broke. Then they apparently didnt have covers to protect the furniture so they took the handmade quilt off my bed taped it around a piece of furniture - obviously without asking; the quilt was permanently damaged. Even after specific instructions to move furniture in the new place into the same rooms as they had removed it from the old place, we had dining room furniture in the bed room, etc There was $600 worth of damage and that was being really forgiving and they only compensated me about $300 after about 4 weeks of trying to track them down on the phone; as it I finally had to threaten legal action to even get these people on the phone. We are also sure that the mover stole $300 worth of liquor some of which cant be replaced; box was there before the move and gone afterward! more

Their customer service refused to call me back, put my on endless hold for people who weren't even in the office, and told me constant lies about where the truck was, and why it was late. Once they have your belongings, they treat you like dirt. Don't think you'll have anyone on your side if anything goes wrong either - you're totally alone once they have your stuff, no credit card, no better business bureau, nothing. I would never recommend them. I am baffled by the positive reviews, the negative reviews on other sites are more in line with what I experienced. If I could go back in time, I'd pay double to use a different provider more

I used this reputable local moving company for my move as well as my office move locally here. Dave was exceptional in leading his movers' team, while moving my furniture including some really heavy items and boxes. Not only were my moves done efficiently, but they also wrapped with like personal care all of my items and saved me time and headaches from doing it myself. I was also working on a tight budget and they gave me a good flat rate price, and the entire service was excellent! What else can I say regarding their moving service? We had to find the reliable and licensed and insured moving service provider for our last minute move since I had to move for work and I only was given 2 days notice. Now my company gave me a list of preferred local movers in the area to chose from or I could pick my own but I had to pay a percentage if I chose the mover so I went through their given list and called 4 or 5 of moving companies for the moving rates and price quotes. The price quotes were scattered all over the place since they were via internet and phone so. I decided to try 2 local moving companies with very good reputations and asked their customer service offices for a free visual etimates. Both price quotes were similar weightwise but far from one another pricewise. One of them movers quoted me nearly $2500 for my weight and the other quoted me $2900 for almost the exact same weight and packing. I called and chose the movers based on reviews on this site and their Google rating and the fact that they were company approved and it was a paid relocation made the deal a done deal. 2 days later their driver Nick came with 2 other helpers Mike and Sean and they were exceptional. They packed everything wrapped it all up with care and loaded and were finished by the end of the day. I waited until the next day and recieved a call from Josh in their customer service department who was very nice and explained my revised price and I actually owed $200 less than I was quoted. That is the unbelievable part of the entire deal. I found a moving company that was honest enough to tell me my price went down $200. The sweetest part of the move was I requested a delivery 5 days after pick-up and they said they couldn't guarantee it and would do the best they could to accomodate my request. My guys actually showed up in the morning the day I requested. I could not have been more happy with the service I recieved from this company. more

This is a small token of our appreciation to the best local movers in the area and their customer service and staff that provided moving service to my family during our last minute relocation this Monday.. We submitted a form and recieved a call from their customer service lady and she explained us all the details and rates, gave us the best price quote among all the best local moving service providers, set up our move out day for a Monday which worked out very well. I felt it necessary to write some quick words about this great local moving service provider. This company just completed my move last week and me and my family is extremely pleased with the moving service and the price and rates and that we went with these guys. They did every justice to our faith. When I asked for the fixed price quote they replied in no time and got back to me very fast. Though I received many quotes their rates were the cheapest ones. My aunt is moving next year and I suggested her to use these moving service providers because of their accuracy, rates and personal care. Their customer service was simply outstanding. What impressed me were their price as well as personal care, sense of timing and the speed of work. We are happy that we used this moving company. They do value their customers a lot. Well I started my search for a reliable mover a week in advance. After getting baraged with calls with different price quotes and reading reviews of dozens of moving service providers in the area, I decided to go with a local mover, these guys have a lot of positive reviews all over the Internet. First I called for the price quote and the guy of their customer service was very helpful, explaining all the details and rates. These guys are pros. The movers came when scheduled. Packed my belongings better than any other movers and I've moved a bunch. They stored the furniture for a week and delivered my goods on the date and time promised to our new apartment. The packers and movers were careful, personable and quick. I would use these folks in a minute. I ended up paying $60 less than the estimate due to weight and I was pleasantly surprised. I had planned to have them unpack but my place was still being rehabbed on the delivery date, so they changed the ending service and processed me a refund. Use this reliable local moving company if you need to make a stress-free move. They are the best. The staff is easy for communication and they value their customers! more

I did quite a bit of research on moving companies on Google, Judy's Book, CitySearch etc. before finally deciding to go with these movers. I cannot begin to express how impressed I am with the high level of care, proficiency, communication and professionalism that they display all around. We scheduled move date just a few days before the actual move - but this was no problem for them. First, the foreman came to my home to assess our belongings and to provide me with a quote; they usually give hourly quotes, but I requested a flat rate so that I could compare it with the other price quotes I obtained. They came in the lowest, but because of how awesome they were to work with, we tipped them $ 250 the difference between one of the higher quotes we received. To us, it isn't about getting the cheapest - it's about the quality of work provided. Thank you guys You are the best in the area! The Customer service staff is really value their customers! Our experience with this local moving company was outstanding. We have moved many times, both locally and interstate. We have had negative experiences in the past so it was a relief when our local move with these movers went so well. The company's customer service staff was so helpful, our movers on the day of our moving service were very respectful of me, my possessions and my time (therefore money). What really impressed me was how hard and fast these men worked. Ron and his movers were courteous to me and took great care of my stuff and it was great to see how polite they were to each other as well. We used this moving company because of their excellent reviews. They did not disappoint. The both movers and their staff of the customer service were the best! They were professional, hard-working, honest, and friendly. There was no minimal damage, nor even scratches. They really hustled, but cut no corners on keeping our items well wrapped and secure. We only moved an hour away, so the entire job was about 6 hours, not including travel time. I highly recommend using this company. They are local movers and their rates are the cheapest. We hired Best Movers Baltimore Moving Company for our long distance relocation from Ellicott City to Queens, New York. The service was very good. Clean crew worked very well and took excellent care of our items. The only set back was they delivered a day later then promised due to weather but they offered us $200 discount for that so it's OK with us, well great moving service anyway! more

The problem with most moving companies is that they dont do their work themselves. Most times when you pay a deposit you are actually paying a broker. They dont have trucks or staff of their own and thats why the additional charges. So what you are doing is paying two companies for the same job the broker and the movers. Now I was well aware of this kind of activity so I was very careful when I had to choose a moving company. Best Movers Baltimore Moving Company was backed by a solid reputation and many good reviews. and they lived up to their reputation. No additional charges and the movers who picked up my things were their employees and the trucks belonged to the company. I was very happy with the service and highly recommend it. The customer service lady of Best Movers Baltimore Moving Company was informative, friendly and her price was right on the money, it didn't go a lot over (just +10%). What I was impressed was the information she gave, the other companies didn't tell me about insurance, rates or boxes, she did. She also did everything to get the time and date I wanted when it was busy on the 5th of this month.
