The ribs are showered in BBQ ,the service is horible,the place smells like crap and the waiter put his handup like telling me to stop and also inside looks like 12 tables and 1 couch itwas loud and noisy in other words it's worse than he'll. By. more

Overall I enjoyed my lunch at the Nexxt Cafe with my 6 yr old. I was suprised to see with the numerous menu items (seemed like the Cheesecake Factory menu) the waitress said they had no kids menu. She suggested some things that were way too pricey for a child who wont eat all of it. We split the Southern Fried Chicken Sliders which were delicious and reasonably priced and with 4 on the plate, too much for both of us. The fries were extra and to pricey for frozen fries, and the beer was outrageous but what isnt in SoBe? Good outdoor seating and inside. Only dislike was the waitress' service but she was getting her 18% tip anyway i guess. more

Great food for the price and location 4/2/2009

Im an out of towner and was on my first visit to Miami and just happened to find myself in Nexxt Cafe. Location is great as it is a pedestrian thoroughfare. Our sever, was really helpful and courteous. Showed much expertise with the rather varied and big selection of a menu, they have. Our server was very patient and served us well. Was prompt in giving us refills, and was really congenial. I forgot to take down his name, but all I remember is he sorts of resembles George Clooney a little bit *grin* Ill definitely be back there when I find myself in Miami Beach again. I wish they would just take out the auto gratuity on the check, sometimes, that is the best way for management to keep track of how well their servers are to their patrons. Id definitely have given more than what was due, as I was extremely happy with the service. Pros: Great selection in menu, good portions, great location Cons: Dirty restrooms more

Nexxt is like Cheesecake factory #2, although it has a better ambiance, waiters are usually rude and they still function with a paper-based book for table organizations. Their desserts are pretty good and so is their Chicken Piccata and lettuce rolls. If you are searching for innovative, delicately prepared food, this is not the place. more

Especially, this restaurant host guy. Takes forever to get his attention but as soon as he get you a table you are off his hands and forget asking him a question. In about 15-20 minutes they came to offer a drink and left for another 15-20 minutes. The chairs are so deep that even I felt not comfortable eating and I am not shorty. Great Food, Generous Portions! 5/8/2008

We were in town on business with a group, and did not wait long at all for seating. This place was extremely busy, but despite this we received more than adequate service. The food was by far above average! The portion sizes are more than worth the ""little"" extra you pay for their food. Two can easily split an entree. We found our appetites satisfied and the food to be really good. If we lived in Miami we would frequent this place. Loved it, location was great for people watching. Would have earned 5 stars from me except the bathrooms WERE dirty. Ew. Pros: Portion Sizes Cons: Dirty bathroom, small-ish inside. more

Great place to eat! 3/15/2008

Nexxt is a great place to go if you are looking for a broad variety of good food at a reasonable price. You can get anything from Mexican to Pizza. The portions are huge!!! The location is great too because it is in Lincoln Mall. We didn't have any service problems but we sat in inside. If you don't want to wait than sit inside. The mixed drinks are great! Pros: Great food and great location. Cons: Waiting time(just sit inside there is generally room) more

Great Ambaince - Great Food - TERRIBLE SERVICE 2/29/2008

I am a local and I love this place for the location, price, and food. The location can not be any better since it is on one of the busiest parts of Lincoln Rd. Great place for people watching. The food is excellent. The portions are generous, the menu us extensive, and the taste and quality are exceptional. So why not 5 stars ??? Unfortunately this otherwise great place suffers from TERRIBLE service. The gratuity is automatically added to all checks. So the servers here have absolutely no incentive to give you any service at all. Its so bad that despite how much I enjoy the food. I dont go very often anymore. The bathrooms are also very dirty. The place in general is not very clean. If there service was as good as the food. This would be the #1 place in the whole county. Pros: Food , Location, Quality Cons: Rude Servers , Place could use some cleaning more

This is a great cafe! Almost anything on the menu is great. The prices are really reasonable too. But if you love chocolate, then you must order THE ALCHEMY VODKA CHOCOLATE MARTINI. It is so smooth. And tastes just like a chocolate popsicle! It makes the chocolate cheesecake pointless to to have. It's that good. ORDER THE CHOCOLATE MARTINI! Your life will never be the same without it. more

Their food is good, the portions are so large, they have fabulous bruschetta, but their service is horrible --as does all service on lincoln (you may wonder how this could be with 20 waiters just sitting around next to the counter doing nothing, but my only guess is that they just don't care)--and the place is a bit dirty. Good Food, Bad Service 11/13/2006

On a lazy Sunday afternoon, what could be better then having lunch with some friends and soak up the wonderful South Beach atmosphere. Nexxt Cafe seems to fit the bill, provding outdoor dining with a casual flair. The menu was varied, offering a bit of everything any one could want. While not out of this world, the food was very tasty, the portions were very generous, and the meal did not come with a South Beach price tag. My only complaint was the service which was at best substandard. Although seated immediately and given menus, our waiter was no where to be found. When he did show up he spent 5 minutes explaining that he had other things to before taking our drink order....which he got wrong any way. Add that to dirty silverware, and I almost yelled NEXT before even giving the food a shot. Pros: Ambience, Generous Portions Cons: SERVICE, SERVICE, SERVICE! more

Cheesecake Factory-esque on Lincoln Road 7/18/2006

First let me set the stage, restaurants on Lincoln road are known for sightseeing. They are NOT known for their service or food. If you are going to eat on Lincoln, I'd recomend Nexxt. The best way to describe them is a Cheesecake factory knock-off--their menu and place looks all too familar to that popular chain. On the positives, their food is good and they are very afordable. On the negatives, their service is horrible--as does all service on lincoln (you may wonder how this could be with 20 waiters just sitting around next to the counter doing nothing, but my only guess is that they just don't care)--and the place is a bit dirty. Best Value In South Beach 4/21/2006

I hate to say how good this restaurant is cause I'll never be able to get in! This restaurant has very tasty food, huge portions, and very reasonable prices. Try one of the breakfast omelets. It is easily big enough to share with another person. Best people watching spot in SoBe. Killer meat loaf, Spicy chicken strips with a mountain of mashed potatos and a piece of corn on the cob, ahi tuna appetizer, pizza, burgers, all good. This is the place for those who love leftovers. Only complaint is that the restaurant needs a bathroom attendent cause there are too many customers and the bathroom floor is always wet and messy. Clean that garbage can near the front door! TOURIST TRAP!!!! 2/6/2006

I stopped by last weekend after having dinner with friends from out of town. We had drinks and coffee. The waiter served us quickly. As soon as he left we realized our coffee were cold and my friends irish coffee had no whipped cream (as stated on menu) When we finally found the waiter to pay our check, 40 minutes had passed. To make things worse there was an $18.00 Cognac on the check . I'm sure the waiter thought we were dumb torist and did the classic ""upsell"" trick of order top shelf liquor to raise the check amount(and gratuity included) Needless to say, I'll never go back! The prices are affordable if you're talking South Beach and the food is absolutely delicious. Lunch menu offers deals for $10 that will leave you just as stuffed. Even the appetizers can be a meal. Appetizers-the plub ribs and flautas were excellent. Four cheese pasta was simple but great. I ate half and saved the other half for homeless dude.
