They replaced 6 brake lines and had my van for 7 days and with 10 hours of repairs. They charged me $ 1087.50 for replacing the brake lines. They charged me $ 239 for brake pads and turn the drums. I pulled out of their parking lot on a Friday at 3 P.M. on to Newberry Rd. Almost got in a wreck @ I 75 under pass, SOFT BRAKE PEDDLE, Wouldn't PUMP up.. I returned my van to Newberry Imports and ask them to fix it right. Their mechanic told me my brakes were not bleed enough on the first brake job, as he had to bleed them again. I seen He had all my tires off, so I ask their mechanic if my brake drums had been turned? THEIR MECHANIC SAID IT DID NOT LOOK LIKE MY BRAKE DRUMS HAD BEEN TURNED. Newberry Imports charged me $ 200. for turning of brake drums, total for brake job was$ 239. These people are not honest. Some things they can repair correctly, BRAKES is not. DON'T put your life in their hands. Take your vehicle to the dealer. The repair will cost a lot less and the repair will be done correctly. Get estimates, Don't take some ones word like I did. They told me "They are honest and they will treat you right" WRONG!! Newberry Imports knows how to charge double prices. But, even after 10 hrs. of labor on my brakes they still didn't have them working correctly. Also, on my bill is a charge to me of *** $5.00. I looked up what those *** meant. It says, The State of Florida request a $ 1.50 fee to be collected for each new tire sold in the state and a $ 1.75 fee to be collected for each new or re manufactured battery sold in the state. I ask AMY, the person collecting the money, to remove that amount from my bill as I purchased neither. She said NO. Everyone is charged that, " IT IS A SHOP FEE." On my bill under supplies ** shop supplies, there is no charge. Isn't that fraud charging me that.? If some one recommends Newberry Imports to you, ask what they had done that pleased them? Maybe it is something Newberry Imp. can fix that is not beyond their expertise. Get estimates and watch your bill.
