New Orleans Cafe

This was our second time coming. Thought we would give them another, fair chance. The first time, they were extremely busy, so waiting on our food was not a big deal. Although the wait staff seemed very unorganized on this visit. Our second trip was Sunday afternoon. Not very many people there. We were 2 of 4 people inside the place. It took them 45 minutes to cook 3 sliders with fries and fried shrimp with steamed veggies. i also ordered a salad, which came out with my meal. The waitress apologized saying the kitchen staff was backed up! The food is good, but the wait staff has a lot to learn. A lot of personal conversations and actual yelling across the restaurant at each other about their personal business. Sorry to say, we will not give them another chance. more

I have been here several times and will be back! Tried several items and love the appetizers...new shrimp dip out of this world. Chargrilled oysters addictive! Fried Pickles yummy. Service is great...everyone is friendly and always makes me feel welcome. I can go in by myself and not feel akward (not always easy for a girl). And I love the live music. Open mic night has lots of local artists but my favorite is reggae on the weekends. I love the cheap drink prices and fun customers on the deck. It is never boring. more

Just got back from my fourth visit. Service is always fast and courteous, The Cajun 2 step special is to die for. I have been to many restaurants in New Orleans that aren't this good. Great food, great atmosphere, music. If you want to just chill and unwind try it. more

This is not a place to get a great entree. Right next to the marina, seems a great hangout for boaters and those who just want to unwind with a beer or margarita, enjoy some live music on the deck and watch the boats go by. Pros: Good Fried Food, Friendly Staff Cons: Everything Else is Marginal more
