Worst

Apparently none of these reviewers at at New Haven Coney Island in the winter. The place is so cold it's impossible to eat without a coat on. Customer comfort is not a priority....

Apparently none of these reviewers at at New Haven Coney Island in the winter. The place is so cold it's impossible to eat without a coat on. Customer comfort is not a priority. However, it is so cold that one can only get through half a meal of warm food, the rest is stone cold. I agree that the service is top notch, the food is good for the price--but I'll be back in the spring--it's too hard to chew with my teeth chattering. more

Satisfaction guaranteed! 12/3/2007

I just recently moved to New Haven and I was looking for a place to eat for dinner my second night there. I drove up to the corner of gratiot and new haven rd and decided to eat at New Haven Coney Island. It was the best meal I've eaten in days. I ordered a Chicken Strips wrap with chilly cheese fries and an extra side of mashed potatoes. The lady at the register was very warm and welcomed me to the restaurant and I sat myself near the back of the place. The waitress was at my table within seconds asking me if she could start me off with a drink. The menu is huge...Breakfast anytime, burgers, sandwiches, salads, wraps, broasted chicked, ribs, shrimp, fish. Tons of sides too. Pros: Food, Service, Value Cons: Non more

TASTY & CLEAN 1/30/2007

They have the best burgers in town. I had 2 delicious rocketburgers and chilly cheese fries. They give you plenty to eat and the wait staff was excellent. The food was delivered fairly quick and they have FREE REFILLS!! Would take the family there again to try something new on what is a good size menu for a local coney island. Makes you feel like your at home. They have broasted chicken and ribs to die for. I was just in there and they greeted me with a smile. The waitress was very nice and she took care of me and my family. Clean and friendly. Pros: Value, Customer Friendly, Clean Cons: Small, Smoking Section more
