I first went to this dental practice in January 2011. I was new to Columbia, didn't know where to go, and found the practice on my dental insurance website. The experience was terrible from the moment I walked in the door. I should have left before seeing the dentist or hygienist, but didn't want them to charge me for the appointment.
First, I called for an appointment and was told to be there by 10 a.m. to fill out paperwork, and my appointment was to be at 10:15 a.m. This was the first appointment of the morning because it had snowed a few days before and they had been closed.
I got there on time, and the only person there was a hygienist who didn't know what paperwork I needed to fill out and didn't know that I had an appointment. She finally gave me forms to fill out, I did so, and then sat for over half an hour. Because the dentist wasn't even there yet.
Once the dentist got there, I expected to be seen promptly. Well, another person had come in when I was waiting and was seen first (I was there at least half an hour before her).
After the dentist arrived, the office manager arrived and didn't even acknowledge me. She seemed unconcerned with my wait, and I had to wait another 15 minutes to be called back. I got x-rays and a cleaning, and then waited more for the dentist.
I asked the dentist about a concern I had about clenching my teeth; he said it was no big deal and that my mouth was perfect.
Fast forward 7 months, I just went to another dentist (WONDERFUL) who said the last dentist I had seen went way overboard with x-rays and had taken as many as my insurance would allow for the year. Also, I have cracks in my teeth from jaw clenching, which the dentist here said was no big deal.
Needless to say, this was the worst experience I have ever had at a dentist/doctor's office and I will never be back!
