NCDSV consults with organizations at local, state, national and international levels working to end domestic and sexual violence; trains professionals and volunteers to prevent violence, provide support to those harmed and intervene with persons using violence; advocates to influence policy and professional practice; promotes collaboration, and enhances diversity, all with the goal of ending violence. NCDSV does not provide emergency assistance for victims of violence or persons using violence, but refers to the National Domestic Violence Hotline, 1-800-799-SAFE (7233) and RAINN, the sexual assault hotline, 1-800-656-HOPE (4673).
