Namaste Hair Studios/Vickie Armstrong

Based on rave reviews of Vickie Armstrong in Citysearch, I called and scheduled an appointment for a highlight and cut. I'm so glad that I did. Vickie was a pleasure to meet. She was friendly, upbeat and very professional. She made me feel comfortable and really understood my frustration with my previous hair color experiences. I do believe my previous colorist tried to make my haircolor process work for me but it just never did. Within 2 weeks, my gray hair was more prominent than my highlighted hair. The color was faded and dull! I was beginning to think that I should just go gray (but I REALLY didn't want to do that.) Thankfully I called Vickie for an appointment. Vickie consulted with me and had suggestions that she felt would improve my color and give me what I was hoping to achieve. Well, it worked. It has been over a month and my hair color is rich, shiny and outstanding. She ""updated"" my cut but still stayed within my styling capabilities and it has been terrific. I have been in the Raleigh/Cary area for 2-1/2 years and have had unfortunate hair experiences with six different stylists at five of the areas top salons. I had almost given up hope when I happend upon Vickie's reviews on CitySearch. I identified with the issues that other reviewers faced and thought that perhaps Vickie was the one to tame my crazy hair. \r \r Upon arrival I found the salon private and nicely decorated. Vickie was very personable, engaging and confident....a very good start. i explained my hair issues and she seem to ""get it"" right away. I was hopeful, but still apprehensive given my recent experiences. After a snip snip here and a snip snip there and then a blowdry...I looked in the mirrror and was shocked! PERFECT length, PERFECT layers, PERFECT side swept bangs...and I still had plenty of hair left. Yes, a true miracle! lol Now, approx five weeks later, I can honostly say that I have not had a bad hair day since my visit to Vickie. She listened, had a plan and brought my hair back to life. I made my appointment with Vickie after reading the glowing reviews. I have just recently moved to the area and was apprehensive about trusting someone new. I hope that this will let others know that they can comfortably and confidently ask Vickie to become their new stylist. She puts you completely at ease, listens to all of your concerns and input and then works her hair magic. The salon is unique, too. It is an intimate private salon room that connects to a main salon facility. So, you won't have to listen to another stylist's music or chatter if you want a more peaceful atmosphere. You could just ask Vickie to close her suite, so you can enjoy the full experience. Pros: Terrific with highlighting and cuts, unique salon space Cons: none at all more

It seems a little dramatic, but I've spent my life trying to find Vickie at Namaste Studios. No one has ever been able to tame my erratic hair. On the first try, Vickie talked me through what she was going to do and actually asked questions to find out what I wanted. Most stylists have asked the cut then proceeded to butcher my hair. Vickie is the only stylist to ever cut my hair correctly AND the way I wanted. She's GREAT!\r \r Location is great and the salon is incredibly calm, quite, and promotes a wonderful experience.\r Pros: Incredible Talent, Calm Atmosphere, and Great location. I was looking to leave my previous salon and the only reason I stayed there was my stylist, Vickie Armstrong. When she went out on her own I did some searching and was so pleased to find her!!! Vickie is a fantastic stylist and I'm always happy with my look when I leave the salon. Her salon is very calm and peaceful and I feel like I have Vickie's full attention.
