Nail Stylus

Sanitation is my only concern when I go to a nail salon. Here I find it is acceptable to me that people really take time disinfect the tub and their tools before putting me in the pedi chair. I come here often because I fell very welcome and people are friendly. My favorite is with Cindy, she really gave me a good foot massage. One thing I don't like is this salon is not roomy but what can they do? it's in Brookline. Pros: Cleaness Cons: Not Roomy more

There's one woman who does a great waxing job. That's Vi. She's very careful, friendly and never rushes. I've been to see other waxers and had my brows uneven. If you want a good job I would suggest going to Vi. The owner Vicky id OK too with the wax but I prefer Vi's waxing better. more

I've been going to Nail Stylus for years and now that I've moved to Somerville, I still make the trek to Brookline to get my eyebrows waxed. To be honest, its not the nicest environment and the tools used on you have been used on others (with a wash in between), but for the money you can't beat it. The manis here are pretty standard, nothing fancy and the massage is not that long, but if you're looking to get it done and spend less than $15, stop by. Also thay have those big massage chairs for the pedis which are nice (and only $20). I like Tina the best, she is the most attentive and is a real sweetheart. As I said i get my eyebrows waxed here, I can't vouch for other body parts but I trust them and whomever I get they are fast and do a great job (although I like the older woman who sits at the front desk the best). Even if I have a complaint or want them to change something, they are more than willing and make me happy. I've been to a few other places for eyebrow waxing but haven't found anyone who does as good a job and only charges $12. I had a great pedicure for $20! That is the cheapest one I've had for the quality and long lasting service I experienced. I think I had Lisa. She was friendly, attentive, and very detail oriented. Pros: Pleasant, always has time for walk-ins Cons: Would enjoy longer massages with mani/pedi more

I came to Nail Stylus after a friend recommended this place to me. I went for a series of wax treatments: bikini, leg, underarm. I have NEVER had such an aweful experience. Not only was the place unclean ( wax with other people's hair all over the place- yuck) but the lady did a horrible job! I spent the next two hours at home trying to get the wax off of my body and out of my hair! Usually I dont mind having to pluck the occasional stray after I get waxed, but it was ridiculous how much hair she missed! ( and I dont have much to begin with anyway!) Although this is technically a nail salon, they do offer a variety of other services. I had the misfortune to experience their bikini wax (after getting my nails done). It was an absolute nightmare!!! First, the conditions were not sanitary. The procedure itself was painful and extremely uncomfortable (more so than usual). The lady was rude and unprofessional. She was RIPPING the strips off my skin, very fast and very carelessly. My skin was burning for days (to the point that I had trouble going to sleep), I had bruises on my skin and terrible irritation which had to be treated with medicated ointments. I will NEVER come here again for any type of service (the nails weren't that great either)!!!!!!! Cons: HORRIBLE service more
