Good Windows 11/7/2010

We replaced a bay window in our living room in May 2010 because it was very old and drafty and have now decided to replace the ones in the master bedroom as well. We had the window seat extended out and I absolutely love the way it turned out. The installation was pretty quick and they did a good job of cleaning up the living room. The windows are definitely pricier than any other brand we looked at but I definitely think that the quality and service is worth it. more

Great Company! 11/6/2010

I have enjoyed working with Newpro immensely. I purchased a sliding glass door three years ago and have been very satisfied, especially with my lowered heating costs. I am about to buy a second door. Their sales and service staff are outstanding. I recommend them highly! more

Good window, great service 11/5/2010

We replaced about 75% of our windows 2 years ago with Newpro. We noticed warmer winters and cooler summers. Quite pleased! So pleased in fact we are finishing treplacing the other 25% of windows nice. Jim Harris, our sales rep, has been great. He has called back immediately whenever we call and is very knowledgeable. The installation was a breeze-clean and quick. Thanks Newpro. Portland, ME more

Finishing the Job! 11/4/2010

In Oct. '09 before the cold months really hit, we decided to go ahead and take advantage of the new tax rebate and do half of our windows in our older home (pre-1900's). We choose to do the rooms which were the most drafty, but also got the most use. The first thing I noticed after the installers left was the reduction in noise levels around the neighborhood - all of a sudden that leaf blower across the street wasn't so loud...that was awesome! Then the cold weather really came, and we enjoyed much warmer, non-drafty parts of our house that had the NewPro windows installed. more

Great Service, great product; money saved 11/1/2010

I checked out all the different local vendors in the area when I needed new siding a year and a half ago. Newpro reps were responsive without pressuring me to buy; the process was easy and the installation was fast and efficient. They estimated a week to install and were done in three days. The yard was clean and tidy when they were finished. Best of all was the fuel savings. The double insulation has saved me hundreds in heating costs. While they were changing out the siding, they also installed my new outdoor lights at no additional cost. What a difference. The value of my home has increased dramatically. I was so happy with the service that I called them this week for new doors and windows (no need to shop around). Time to complete the facelift and improve the efficiency and beauty of my home. It certainly has worked.....after my siding was done, I had complete strangers stop when I was in the yard to comment on how nice the house looked with the new siding. I can't say enough about how excellent the service, product and sales staff are. Very efficient and well informed. Made me feel comfortable making a big investment in my biggest investment....my home. more

NewPro - pricy, messy, disrespectful 8/23/2010

We had doors and windows installed. Quality is decent enough. Our sales guy used the same ""manager special"" nonsense to give us a little ""break"" but we still paid too much. The installer was polite enough and worked hard, but left a bit of a mess behind and didn't put the finishing touches on that speaks of a high quality outfit (for example, molding nail holes exposed in the removal of the old doors were not painted over with a white drop of paint, just left exposed.) The worst part about them, and it has taken a while to push me this far, is the fact that they call us regularly to sell us more! For the last five or six times we've politely asked them to remove us from their calling list, apparently they don't get it. We'll see if it happens again, but in the meantime, be forewarned: If you use this company, they will haunt you until you pony up more money than you really need to pay for a good product with ok installation. more

Newpro doors 12/22/2009

Products were well priced and well built. They measured twice and cut once. When they ran into a concrete wall, they made changes on the spot that worked well. The installers were professional, fast, and considerate of our concerns. Pros: solid produce and good installers Cons: took a while to get built more

Storm Doors 11/30/2009

Very good servive. You get what you pay for i.e. the doors were the best I've seen and the service installation was on time, clean, polite and of very good quality. Pros: High Quality Doors Cons: Price more

Great Windows 10/21/2009

I wanted to upgrade my 14 windows because some storms were stuck and wouldn't open,. I called and was offered a sales rep the next day. I thought 3 hours was too long for a presentation but the windows, triple pane and UV filtering sold me along with the written recommendation from This Old House on avoiding vinyl for my size windows. Pros: Triple pane UV blocking Cons: Epensive more

Great windows & installation 10/21/2009

We recently replaced three large single-paned windows with three stylish triple-paned NewPro windows--we couldn't be happier!! Pros: Keeps the heat inside more

Poor Installation 10/17/2009

I ordered three, large oversized swing in windows for my sunroom. The sales experience was good and the price was comprable to Anderson and other windows. When installed I was informed that the large six foot windows could not swing in since they were to heavy (I had not been told this at purchase). The installation crew was pkleasant and apparently competent. Whe completed they showed me how the windows operated, removal of screens, etc. A few weeks later when they weather turned cold I tried to lock the windows and found two did not lock. When the re-installer arrived (two hours later than the appointed time window) he was ill informed about the problem and was a bit obtuse as I explained the problem. He calmed down and went to work and three hours later had figured out how to solve the problem. Pros: I like the windows Cons: They were installed incorrectly more

Newpro Window Okay, Siding BAD 6/20/2009

Newpro windows are the best! 3/23/2009

I recently had Newpro windows installed and feel that it is one of the best decisions that I have ever made, both financially and to improve the appearance of my home! The Newpro rep gave us all of the information without any pressure whatsoever. He took the time to inform us and answered all of our questions (my husband is an engineer - so there were lots!) We had looked at a few others, but Newpro blew them out of the water with the quality, ease of cleaning and yes - even price. You definitely get what you pay for! Over the past winter, our propane usage has dropped dramatically, saving us quite a bit of money! Our new windows are crystal clear ( I call them high definition windows), no drafts - when there is a storm outside, we don't know it until we either look out or go out - they are block out the sound as well! They are so easy to clean and look beautiful! In this economy, I would recommend Newpro to anyone looking to save money (did I mention we got an Energy Star tax credit) and to increase the value of your home and enhance the beauty of it! The last thing I will say that really sold us is that they are a family owned company - they have been in New England for decades and the windows are made in Massachusetts - not overseas! Pros: Best windows! more

Newpro Windows 2/20/2009

I had Newpro replace all the windows in my house. The windows that were replaced were single pane, wood windows. Newpro came out and showed me their product and I was impressed. Newpro was the 13th window company I had over my house for a quote. I was very impressed by the professionalism of the Newpro sales rep and was very impressed with the product. I even jumped on the windows and nothing broke. Pros: Best Windows around more

I love my newpro windows! 2/19/2009

I just had my newpro windows installed to replace the original windows (the house was built in 1950!) and I couldn't be more happy. The windows are excellent, the salesman & installer were great and I am happy that I added a tremendous amount of value to my home. My parents & Aunt are having them put in too! Pros: quality, professionalism of the salesman & installer more

Second time around with Newpro Replacement Windows 2/18/2009

In a depressed real estate market with gas and oil prices soaring, we were astounded when our cozy first home sold in less than three weeks. We had replaced every window with Newpro Replacement Windows and our Century 21 agent clearly wrote that into each ad she placed. Our prospective buyers requested actual bills from our oil company for the previous calendar year. We were proud to show them an actual comparison of one year with Newpro Windows and one year without. Our broker pulled out her calculator and informed us that we saved 61% of our heating costs. We also shared exterior shots of the house before our windows were replaced by Newpro and after. The difference in the appearance of the house was remarkable. Within hours of that short meeting we had a full price offer on the table. But...that's not the end of our ""Newpro"" story. We fell in love with a distressed house high on a cliff overlooking the ocean in Scituate. The winter winds were howling and the house was drafty and cold. The home inspector warned us about the condition of the old wood windows but, without hesitation, we bought the property and moved in. We placed our second order for Newpro Windows the day after we took occupancy. The company actually manufactures the windows but, because they're custom made, it can take four to six weeks before delivery. When the day of installation arrived I knew the disruption would be minimal. I knew the job would be finished that same day, drop cloths would be used, the new windows would be left shiny clean and the team would be competent, efficient and polite. Right from our first introductory demonstration our sales professional created a relationship built on trust and customer satisfaction. His word was good, integrity unmatched, product quality superior, delivery timely and installation masterful. If you're serious about saving money and energy, and you want value for your investment, the only company to call is Newpro Replacement Windows. more

Newpro Windows - Wow 2/18/2009

About 2 years ago, I purchased a home with with old wood windows. After living in the house for one winter here in New England and we all know how those can be... I decided it was time to button up the house. After putting together a priority list with my wife of various home improvements the house needed we quickly realized replacement windows were at the top of our list. For the next month we committed a significant amount of time and research to see who made the best product, offered the best service and priced it accordingly. After meeting with four (4) different companies we decided the most money for your wallet was Newpro Windows. Now we are not saying they were the cheapest, rather they were the best overall offering available. more

Sleazy Sales Rep 9/19/2008

We had the sales rep come over to quote siding work. It turned into a 2hr ordeal, with all of the same high pressure sales tactics that other posts had mentioned. We were offered an outrageous price for siding our fairly small home ($34K). Then miraculously the price came down $13K-$14K when we wouldn't commit on the spot. Then the call to the ""owner"" providing a marketing reduction if we put a sign in the yard. He even left without leaving his business card. The products seem to be high quality, but I haven't compared to other offerings. more

Excellent experience 6/27/2008

We purchased Newpro windows in May 2008. The windows were installed a few weeks after we purchased. So far, our experience with Newpro has been wonderful. We had all the windows replaced in our home. We live near a busy road and the three paned Newpro windows have madee a significant reduction in noise. We can no longer hear the sound from the cars on the road. The installers were neat and professional. They even cleaned all of our windows when the were finished. We would recommend Newpro to anyone interested in a top notch prodct. Pros: top notch quality and service Cons: a little expensive but worth the price more

NewPro - high quality windows, high pressure sales - Will never buy from them again 6/12/2008

I have had a very similar experience with buying NewPro windows as the 2 other reviewers wrote about. I paid 10k for a baywidow, a patio door and one standard size window and some minor construction (closeing off a door and installing sheetrock and a doggie door). Pros: High quality windows that insallate very well, you don't have to find your own contractor to install them - they do it Cons: High pressure sales - feels stressful like buying a car. Overpriced - nothing should cost this much. more
