Here's the place to go when you need something nice but don't really have the money to spend on it. I'm talking big name brands that normally are found for some pretty high prices, offered for pennies on the dollar! While you have to watch the items you purchase, many are sold in huge lots and can be damaged or seconds, as long as you take the time to try it on and check it over you can't go wrong. Black Friday they run in store specials that are really awesome and while you might not see an ad for Gabe's you definitely won't find any better prices on brand name items. And the great part is, all proceeds go for a great cause (women's shelters). more

I'm as willing as the next person to purchase my items at the cheapest price around. That being said, I also don't shun away from 'used' stores when it comes to purchasing certain items and in particular some every day jewelry. Dressing up the office look with a festive but classy pin or adding a few sparkely rings to your fingers when you're out clubbing can be affordable, as long as you're not too ashamed to purchase used! My Sister's Closet is a wonderful store to find some of the best, inexpensive jewelry in town. While you're most probably not going to ever find that 1 carat diamond solitaire waiting in the showcase, you will find some great inexpensive costume jewelry. Everything from outrageous to earthy and everything in between, you can find just about anything you need. Earrings, necklaces, pins and rings of many styles can usually be found. My Sister's Closet is a great store. I shop there all the time. It also supports a great ministry. Their prices are reasonable and it is very clean. I would consider it a "boutique" and definitely not a thrift store. I highly recommend shopping there. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. I love it! They are very well organized into "departments" and I love their half-price days. They have one every day for a different department each day. more
