Best

I love The Muse, these guys get it. Local bands and/or touring acts all the time. They have a really good selection of beer and other non-alcoholic drinks also their pizza is one...

Worst

Well It's not really my kind of place. There was the weirdest crowd there. Old people, children (yes children!), goths, punks, and an all ladies country band singing in the back. ...

The Muse is the CBGB's Of The South!! 5/21/2007

The Muse has out lived many venues in Nashville. Over the years, on a small budget, it has made major improvements. Some of the best local and National upcoming bands you can think of grace the stage. It is a venue for the community by the community. After a major renovation to the club, Acoustic Paneling was added to greatly improve the sound quality in this small but important club. more

Hole in the wall where some bands play 7/18/2005

The MUSE is a horrible venue. There is little to no ventilation and the room is tiny. There is only room for about 50 people, but they try to cram about 200 in there when the big bands play. People are allowed to smoke inside so the entire room is foggy and will choke anyone that isn't used to the smoke. When you leave there you smell terrible and your eyes burn. Someone really needs to install some fans or something along those lines to get some air flow going. Sound quality is pretty poor as well due to the small compact concrete walls. In addition, the MUSE will book any band, and I do mean ANY band. Most of the bands that book there are just getting started and need a little bit more practice. Once in a while you have the chance to catch a fairly good band, but you have to weigh the rest of the factors against it. more
