I eat at Murphy's every time I come to Alexandria (2x/year since 2003). I've been here now since May and i have never once had a bad meal or bad service at Murphy's. The pub has it's own friendly atmosphere and even though you have tourists here it has a hometown feel to it. People are very friendly and its the kind of place where, if you go, you should plan on having a good time if they have entertainment.\r
The meals are priced reasonably and they bring your food out faster than most restaurants. If you go later in the week or on the weekend, try to get there before the entertainment starts, in order to get your meal and eat without feeling crowded.
