This place has been pretty non-existant for at least 3 yrs. How can it even be in the top 10? There is nothing there to see!!

Great way to spend an afternoon 10/20/2005

Mud Island is a wonderful, relaxing way to spend an afternoon - as a family, individual, or on a date. Ride the monorail from downtown Memphis over to Mud Island, which sits in the Mississippi River - great views from the monorail. Mud Island has a fantastic "mini" re-creation of the Mississippi River, which offers great wading fun for children. You can also tour the museum and gift shop. There are many areas to sit and enjoy fantastic views of the River and Memphis. more

pretty fun 8/22/2005

my family really enjoyed walking up and down the "river-like" walkway and even stopped at one of the many tables and benches to eat our lunch. The museum was quite informative and had a lot more to offer than I anticipated. Highlights include mockups of a steamboat and Union ironclad, as well as a huge freshwater aquarium featuring fish of the Mississippi. There are also paddleboats and many other fun thing s to do. Great way to spend the day. more
