Mount Hope Church

A love for God and people here at Mt Hope Church. Great Worship music. I've been attending for about 8 months. Skin color has no importance here, just your 'heart'... for God, and the want to serve Him... and others. To ease your pain...draw near to God, To be forgiven... draw near to God; believe in the Gospel, To become a new person... draw near to God. He is the answer for everything! When we stay close to God... He takes care of our needs & all else. Smaller Worship Center is the early service. Great Leadership here, & youth group. Check out the Gilead Center next door too. Great counselors. They don't need reviews. Come and hear the Word of God... your heart will wake up to praise our Creator... I love it here. Many ways to get involved and meet others too.. Bible groups, ministires of all kinds. That's my opinion... come and see. Oh yea... previous reviewer, they do not lock you in...lol This is not a cult. You can come or go, invite family, friends, neighbors, come once or come 100 times, have coffee & doughnut in the cafe or water from the fountains, come Sundays or on Wed, or both, or not at all. But please... ask God before you 'do' anything... and listen for His whisper in your heart. May God bless you and love you. more

I got baptized at this church and I was going to many many other churches before this. I was called to this church by the Lord. People here are loving, friendly, easy going. I really just love it here:) Come check us out and see for yourself! more

The last person reviewing apparently is unaware of what a ""cult"" is. In religious worship it is related to rites & ceremonies. It also often defined as a group that tends to manipulate, control & exploit its members. None of this describes Mt.Hope Church. The music is beautiful-we have a wonderul choir. The song service itself ushers in the Holy Spirit. Pastor Dave is relaxed, down to earth and often comical, but delivers messages that inform, teach and empower Christ followers. I do not know if he has body guards & I have been attending for over a year. It is a very large church with many buildings and many rooms in each building. I am aware we do have security & feel it would be stupid to not have it. I did not think I would like going to a really big church, but there are so many wonderful classes you can take & ways to grow in Christ & I feel the people are quite friendly if you give them a chance. There is really a lot of love here. more

The place has the feel of a cult. The main preacher is protected by body guards during the service. The attenders would only pay attention to the preacher and would not go anywhere else even if they are told. There is security in every hallway and doors are locked. more
