The fries are to die for. They're battered, and amazing. It's obvious that they care about the customers, in the preparation of the food and in service, all the staff is friendly ...

Bad service???? 9/23/2002

The last review on here commented on the bad service they received at Monteauxs, which seems unrealistic to me. Everytime I have visited this establishment the service has been great- very friendly and prompt. It seems like the majority of the patrons agree with my rendention. Monteaux's has got to be my all time favorite restaurant. They have a great variety of comfort foods, creme brulee to die for and wonderful cocktails. The calamari is a must as well as the Spinach Salad. Pros: Family friendly, doggie treats, friendly proprieters Cons: can be crowded, decent parking more

Monteaux's is one of the best restaurants that I have had the pleasure of dining at. The atmosphere is warm and friendly, the service staff is outstanding, and Sal the owner is a joy to speak to. I have searched my whole adult life for a restaurant that was all of these things and great food, I have found it. I am home. Pros: Great parking, Great management, service, service,etc more

The food is great, the people are great and there is a Beaverton history lesson of a mural on the wall. If I lived near there I would go all the time. The chow is way better than your standard fare. It could be argued that the strip mall location is not that great but once you are inside it is really nice and comfortable. Pros: food, atmosphere, service more

Yummy Breakfasts 8/6/2002

Monteaux's has a friendly staff and excellent food. Their breakfasts are wonderful - try their home fried potatos and yummy pancakes with honey butter! I also really enjoy their BBQ ribs while sitting outside and the prime rib dinner when it's cool out! Pros: Value Priced, Good Parking, Friendly Staff more

there's tons of stuff on a menu, many of them a bit too yuppy for my tastes... but they didn't forget their pub roots, there are the usual pub fare, and the best burgers i've ever had. nice place, a good beers (although they only have about 5 on tap at any given time), and fast friendly service. Still one of my absolute favorites 7/25/2002

This place has always been just awesome. I've never met such personable owners of a restaurant before. They have the absolute best burgers and everything else. I've read some of the previous reviews and seriously don't understand how they would even have one bad review. The prices are resonable and I think the interior design makes you forget that you are in a strip mall in Beaverton. Pros: The wonderful food, friendly staff, cozy Cons: can be crowded sometimes more

Relaxing Lunch 5/21/2002

We had a pair of Monteaux Cristos a flavorful and unique version of the standard monty cristo. Service was attentive and the atmosphere is definately inviting with a very neighborly feel. Nice option in the burbs! No need to leave the kids home they are welcome here. more
