I had been a client of Oak Park Veterinary Clinic; taking my two cats to Dr. Smith for years, but continuing to do so had become way too costly.\r \r Dr. Smith's fees were too high; she never offered her clients any deals; she's never open on Saturday, and the West Grover Beach location was too inconvenient for me to visit.\r \r So I had to leave Oak Park Veterinary Clinic for another veterinary practice that does have more affordable fees; offers their clients deals; is open on Saturday, and is way more conveniently located.\r \r When my ""choice"" of a new Veterinary Hospital faxed over a request to Oak Park Veterinary Clinic for my pets' medical records; I received a phone call from Oak Park Veterinary Clinic from one of the office staff (a ""Debbie""; who was obviously prompted to do so by Dr. Smith), asking me WHY I had left Oak Park (which in retrospect, I should not have taken the call, or answered the question), as ""Debbie"" (for Dr. Smith) just called to get the chance to verbally abusive me and rudely hang up on me.\r \r - So, leaving Oak Park Veterinary Clinic was an ""excellent"" move for both me, and my pets, as not only do I not have to deal with unprofessional; ugly; abusive vindictiveness any longer; I also no longer have to ""overpay"" to insure that my pets stay sound and healthy. more

I've used Dr. Smith's clinic for over a decade, following her to this new location. I've always been treated with friendliness and courtesy by the staff. Dr. Smith is an excellent vet, very knowledgable and kind. I highly recommend this clinic for pet care. Pros: null Cons: null more

If you have a rabbit, then you probably know you need a vet that specializes in rabbits. Cathi Smith is a great vet and very knowledgeable about rabbits and their care. Our dutch rabbit has been seeing her for about five years now (she is now about ten years old!). They give you a very detailed report after office visits so you can remember what was said. I wish they carried the special Purina bunny food that we feed her so we didn't have to order it online all the time, but that is not really a complaint. Highly recommended! more
