My stylist, Megan, is the best. She totally gets what I need and each time I leave with a divine hair cut and style. Pros: One stop shop for all your beauty needs more

Amazing Waxers and Great Hair 9/5/2007

I am sooo happy with the waxing service that I received at Milvali last Saturday. I have been getting brazilians at another salon/spa for a few years, and didn't know I was getting a ""bad Job"". I guess you never know a bad job, until you've had a good job. Thank God my usual girl called in sick, otherwise I would still be getting hurt by that other girl. Well after the amazing waxing, I thought I might as well get my hair cut too. And my hair looks the best it ever has. My advice to all. Try somebody new. This was the best waxing and hair cut I have ever had. And the prices can't be beat. I can actually afford to go back regulary. more

It's True, they're great. 8/4/2007

When I read the reviews for this salon I thought, okay I'll give them a try. I was going out that night and wanted a shampoo and style. I figured if I'm trying a new salon I better not go for the cut or color just yet. Well, let me start by saying the reviews are true. All of the girls in there are really nice. Lindsey did a great job on my hair and was very social and friendly. When I told them I was going out that night, they asked if I wanted my make up done, and promised it would look natural. Wow! Deb did my make up and I swear by their mineral make up now. I had a really nice time there and I felt great when I left. Not too many places do that for me. more

Amazing everything!!!! 7/11/2007

Erin is amazing!! The best high-lights I've had yet.... She really takes the time to listen to what you want. I love my cut and color~ If you're looking for the special up-do Lyndsey is amazing and Deb is such a talented make-up artist. I love their mineral make-up line. I've used them several times for events in the city. I always refer my clients to Milvali Salon... it's the best one stop shop in the city. more

I admit it...I was Bridezilla! 7/6/2007

So, I was accused of being a ""Bride-zilla"" when planning for my wedding , and I guess I am just really picky. I went to Milvali for a hair and make up consultation...(my third one) and I finally found hair and make up people that know what they're doing. My entire bridal party and I got our hair and make up done at the Milvali Salon on Union St. and I couldn't have been happier. The make up is their own brand, so I was a little skeptical, but Deb did exactly what I wanted and it looked amazing. I got false eyelashes put on that actually looked real and felt good. Lindsey did my hair and I have to say I was shocked that the style stayed put all day and night. On top of the great service, they are all really, really nice. I am so glad I was ""Bride-zilla -otherwise I would have never found this great salon!!!! Thank you Milvali for making me and my wedding party so beautiful. I will be back after the honeymoon! Best Brazilian & Eye Brow Wax 6/30/2007

Let's talk about the quickest Brazilian, barely any pain...and I'm a wimp. They are absolute pros, and you leave smooth as a baby's butt. Plus eye brow waxes that leave you camera ready, seriously. Best service, great environment to get your hair done 5/13/2007

Deb did my hair extensions and did an awesome job. I have never had so many compliments on my hair...ever! I am a working mom and the entensions actually cut down on my time getting ready for work in the morning, and my husband loves the look. I highly recommend Deb, she is an upbeat fun person and does amazing work. Oh, I also had my make-up done by Deb before I left the salon, and wouldn't you know it, I was asked for my phone number from a handsome young man as I was walking around Union Street....thanks Deb! Best set of highlights~haircut 5/3/2007

After recently moving up from LA I was desperate to find someone to give me the LA sunkissed highlights I was used to getting from my dear friend Christos at his salon on Beverly Blvd.. A friend of mine mentioned her girlfriend's twin sister worked in a salon in Mill Valley called Milvali and I should give her a try. Now mind you I have long, thick blonde hair and am usually a hairdresser's nightmare... The service I received at Milvali was above and beyond my wildest expectations. I loved the color, the cut, the new cosmetics I purchased to go with my new look.... and the wonderful atmosphere the girls created. Thank you Jess, Rhianna and Fiona for a wonderful afternoon.... nice girls, mediocre skills 4/18/2007

After reading the many rave reviews about Milvali Salon (especially about Fiona) I was quite enthusiastic and excited about getting my hair highlighted and cut there. Although the ladies were friendly and the atmosphere was light and fun, the color I received wasn't the least bit impressive, and the cut was below average. I spent $200 and no one even noticed my hair had been ""done"". When I mentioned to a few people that I had gotten my hair done, they looked incredulous. The few I pressed further admitted they thought it looked much better before I went to Milvali. Pros: great vibe, friendly staff Cons: overpriced, bad color and cut more

Excellent!!! 4/1/2007

After reading the reviews on Citysearch, I decided to try Milvali Salon. Everyone was amazing! I walked in and was greeted so nicely by everyone. Erin did my cut and color and it looks FABULOUS! She is excellent and easy going and so nice. All the girls there interact with you and are so cool. I ended up getting an impromptu brow wax with Erin D. and she did an amazing job as well! I will definitley be back I think I finally found MY salon! more

Great Cut, Great Make Up Job 3/3/2007

I have lived in the Marina for a couple of years, and have been to quite a few salons... but this is my new favorite. I had my hair cut, and my make up done for a party, and I looked amazing. Not only did they do a great job, but the girls in there are so nice, so talented and not snobby. I just love it in there. They make you feel very comfortable, and actually listen to you. for a hair salon, that is rare. Lyndsay did my hair, and Courtney did my make-up. I am going back next week for high lights...!! Pros: fun area, nice staff, great services Cons: none so far. more

My first trip to the San Francisco store - I go to the Bay Area several times a year and was thrilled that Milvali had opened in San Franciso - I still go to Mill Valley for facials and brow wax and tint. All of the Milvali products are gentle enough to use on my sensitive skin. I would recommend Milvali to anyone looking for high quality services and products. Not Just a Hair Salon 1/31/2007

I've been going to Milvali for a couple of years to get my hair done, ( Fiona does a fabulous job ), but I discovered the best thing yet. They are amazing waxers!! Or specifically... Jessica does the best brazilian I have ever had, and I have been doing it for years. My usual gal, somewhere else, went on vacation, so I tried Jessica. I can't tell you the difference. Absolutely Outstanding. It was quick, and I can't say enough about Jessica. Professional, talented, and nice. Now how convenient to get everything done in one place. I also had my brows done, they are perfect. And my lash tint was great too. Try them, they are the best!!! Pros: Read my review, all Pros Cons: Not a one. more

Great Salon, Great Experience 1/24/2007

I was looking for a salon in my neighborhood to get a haircut and stumbled upon this one. I didn't have an appointment, but they were able to get me in. It was seriously the best experience I have had in a salon. The girls were really nice and my hair came out beautifully. Courtney did exactly what I wanted. I felt I had to review this salon because they are so good and nice..... everyone should know. Pros: Friendly, great stylists Cons: none that I found more

Fabulous salon for any hairstyle... 1/9/2007

I went into MilVali Salon & Cosmetics for the first time for a new, fun haircut...I got exactly what I wanted from Alicia. I was unsure of the cut at first b/c it was pretty different than what I'm used to ( always had long, plain haircuts), but after I washed and styled it the next day, I really liked it. I sat with Alicia for several minutes beforehand to discuss what I wanted and showed her some pictures and she combined my ideas with the visuals and put together a super fun, edgy haircut for me that's the easiest style I've ever managed. She was very easy to talk to, really took the time to listen to me, didn't pressure me at all, and made sure everything she was doing was okay with me. I also went in the morning and was early for my appt, which afforded me even more time to have a good, clear discussion of what I wanted. I will definitely go back. more

Best Cut and Color 12/21/2006

I went the other day on a whim and they were so nice and accomodating. I got my hair cut and colored by Courtney and she did a great job. Both the hilights and the cut turned out amazing. Sarah the front desk was so sweet. Basically i loved my experience!! Pros: great location Cons: parking can be a little hard more
