Editorial review from Citysearch 1/25/2013

I took a bag in today to be fixed and it was done quickly and looked great. The man who helped me was very kind and even held the door for me when I left because I had my baby in her car seat. While I was waiting a few women came in to pick up shoes and both commented on how great the shoes looked. I can see why people would be turned off by the customer service but like Alexi and Eric said you're going to get your shoes or luggage repaired well at a good price not to make a new best friend. more

Do you want your shoes fixed perfectly at a good price? 3/28/2012

If you do, go to Millcreek Luggage Repair. If you want someone to be warm, engaging and thankful for your patronage, probably not the best for you. more

Great luggage repair ! 7/12/2011

The first three reviews reminded me of the fellow who bought this beautifully singing canary. He couldn't believe any bird could sing so sweet. A few weeks later a friend of his noticed the canary only had one leg. He felt he had been cheated so headed back to the pet store to get a GOOD CANARY. The owner listened to his complaint and asked..what do you want..a singer or a dancer? I have been a customer of Millcreek Luggage and shoe repair for several decades. Dan Ruger is a first class craftsman and turns out first class work. He gets a little edgy at times when people tie him up on the phone, asking a myriad of questions when he makes his money working his craft. Time is money and just take your luggage to him and he'll repair it at a modest cost. I also know a brain surgeon who's a little edgy at times, but his patients overlook it and go home healed....Eric more

Agree with other poor reviews 2/18/2011

I will have to agree with the other poor reviews for Millcreek Luggage Repair here on CitySearch. About two years ago I needed a zipper repaired on my luggage. I live about 45 minutes north of SLC and about 70 minutes from the repair shop. When speaking to the man on the phone he was also very curt with me, however as there are no luggage repair shops in my town I chose to take him my luggage anyway. He informed me he would not be open the next day so I would have to bring my luggage the day after that. When I made the drive down (remember 70 minutes) the store was locked and no one available.\r \r In short... Very poor customer care. more

I Second POOR Customer Service 1/6/2011

Thought I would give them a try despite the first and only one star review rating. I didn't get two sentences in before the gentlemans attitude, poor communication skills, clear lack of desire to help me and my thought ""there is no way I am taking my luggage here!"" took over. I said thank you in the middle of my sentence and hung up. I don't need headaches before I even enter a business!!\r One star because the scale didn't go lower. more

Wow. Rude. 1/4/2011

I called this place and spoke with a guy whose speech was barely recognizable as he was clearly in a rush to get OFF the phone with me. I simply asked if they could replace a wheel on a rolling bag, and he quickly told me that I'd have to drop it off and he would ""get to it when he could."" I had a few other questions, but there was no opportunity to ask as he quickly said that they're closed until tomorrow, and HUNG UP. That's really all I need to know. I won't be patronizing this place, and would suggest that others don't as well. more
