If you're looking for beautifully made, and prettily packaged Japanese pastries, Mikawaya is the store to visit. You will be delighted with the light flavors and the chewy mochi. As the developers of mochi ice cream, Mikawaya has found a place in my culinary heart. My favorite flavors are red bean and mango. If you go into the store in Little Tokyo, you can get them freshly made and in single servings...yum.
