Utterly rude and unprofessional!! This office is the most rude and demeaning law firm I have ever visited! The staff treats you as if you were dirt beneath their feet. The woman who "greeted" me (and I use that term very loosely!) was surly and crude. She spoke to me as if she was doing me a favor. When I finally (after waiting for over an hour!) got in to see Mr. Kaufman, the treatment I had recieved from the staff was the red carpet treatment compared to what I was subjected to at the hands of the lawyer. Mr. Kaufman was without a doubt the most arrogant lawyer I have ever met. He stared at me for most of the time as if he either wasn't listening to me, or simply didn't care. After telling him about my whole situation, he made me feel as if it was all my fault. I have more than $50000 of credit card bills, and alot of medical as well. I hired Mr. Kaufman to handle a Chapter 13 case for me. I had a car with too much equity in it to keep it safe in a Chapter 7. He talked to all of my creditors and really stood up for me with their demands. He was also very helpful with my case Trustee and showed some real backbone when she attempted to ridicule him. BEWARE!!! This guy is as hapless and incompetent a lawyer as I have ever seen. First off, I hired this joker to handle a relatively simple Chapter 13 case for me. All I basically had was a car with a little too much equity in it to keep it safe in a Chapter 7. He barely knew what he was doing. First off, he let several of the creditors muscle him, basically just giving in to all of their demands, not showing any backbone. Next, this weak weasel was essentially "bullied" by the case Trustee. She ridiculed him relentlessly at our hearing for being unprepared and for not seeming to know what he was doing. My case only survived I think because she took pity on me for having such a useless and incompetent lawyer! He is nothing more than just a jackass with no idea how to handle himself professionally, or otherwise for that matter. This guy is basically a fool passing himself off as an attorney. Do yourself a BIG FAVOR and STAY AWAY from this goofball.... more
