The Children's Hospital at MetroHealth Medical Center is one of the largest providers of health care to infants, children, and adolescents in the Cleveland area. More than 50 faculty members supervise residents, medical students and other health professionals in serving more than 3,000 inpatient admissions and over 60,000 outpatient visits annually. As a major pediatric center, inpatient services are provided through two general pediatric units totaling 57 beds; a 10-bed Level I Pediatric Intensive Care Unit; two nurseries totaling 48 bassinets and a newly renovated state-of-the-art, 49 bed Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. The Children's Hospital includes a Level I Trauma center and emergency department; the region's only Level I burn center; the region's only Level I pediatric trauma service and intensive care unit. The Children's Hospital at MetroHealth Medical Center also serve as the muscular dystrophy center for Northeastern Ohio.
