Merry Maids

I was moving out of a rental property, I wanted to leave the home as nice than it was delivered to us. I had Merry Maids out for an estimate. The price they quoted seemed very high for an empty house, but I decided to go forward because they promised to make the house like almost new. So.... on the day of the scheduled service, I called to confirm the time, and was told they would be earlier than the time planned. I was happy to hear that, only to sit in my empty house for and hour and a half. When they did show up,the two ladies said they were going to take a thirty minute break before starting, and wanted payment in full, which is their policy. They refused to write me a receipt. They offered me a business card with the "team members" name on the back. I explained to the ladies, and to Susan, the manager, that I was not comfotable with not getting proof that I gave over $250.00 to someone before the service had been completed. I was told that I had 24 hours to call and say that i wanted something re cleaned. I again expressed that I wasnt concerned about a guarantee, I simply wanted a receipt. I was informed that their company does not offer receipts,and that the best they could do was to initial my copy of the work order, not theirs. I askes the ladies to leave, and they did. I hired someone else,paid AFTER the service was done, and didnt ask for a receipt because the work had been done properly. Do the owners of this company not watch the news,or court programs? How would I have proven that I paid if these ladies drove off without cleaning? more

My best friend was getting ready at my house before getting married. I had a ton of things to do and didn't see the time allotted for cleaning up. For about two hundred dollars they cleaned the whole place. They were even dusting the phone books. I was very impressed with the results. I would recommend them to everyone. The wedding photos consist of a spotless place thanks to merry maids. more

This was the first time I ever had anyone come clean my house. The two person team that was sent didn't speak English - which was frustrating - but they did a good job. They first have someone come to your home to assess and give an estimate (free). And the maids STAY UNTIL IT IS FINISHED!!! This was great because some companies charge by the hour so if it's not done right and they have to go back over a room, YOU have to pay for it! more

i was too busy to clean my house and called the merry maids, i was very happy with their service. They did everything and was fast and did quality service. They cleaned my sink windows, appliances, bathrooms, dust, vaccumed and even emptied the trash, their service was worth it. more
